Gas prices

How much are you guys paying for gas where you are? I'm not sure about heating fuel, but our gas is $1.27.9 ( didn't know, how else to write that 4:30). Any way....seeing oil fall from the sky made me wonder how the rest of the country was faring. In my eyes, it should be less than a buck a L.

It was 94.8 here the other day. But most of it is refined here so I guess we're trading our health for somewhat cheaper fuel.

We're at $1.11 - $1.13 in town and $1.24 a couple hours away where my garden is located. I made the mistake of not filling up before I left yesterday.

US$2.849 in Colorado, per US gallon. Even with exchange rates, that seems cheaper than CN$ 1.00/litre... am I correct in that guesstimate?

Yeah keeping my tanks full right now, the GTA pricing has been in the 1.05 - 1.10 range recently which is the lowest it's been for a while here. Shit I remember paying around $1.50 for super early summer.

Electric cars are sounding better and better, aren't they?

Remember also about their reliability; they need service about as often as your stove...

96 cents a liter here right now. Cost me like 100 bucks to fill the tank of my truck the other day.

some reserch on the batteries that electric cars use. A prius has a larger carbon footprint over the first 10 years then a hummer h2. And then the battery has to be replaced. Drastically uping its carbon footprint again. Clean diesels are the way to go for now. Hydrogen is the nut that needs cracking.
