What type of hardware did you have to buy? I looked but only found info for the software.
There are a lot of different software apps out there where this one is unique and i haven't seen on web. for hardware i purchased a main board ,that hooks to my pc (size of a wallet), a couple ph sensors/adapters, light sensor and a temp/humidity device. i also had to purchase the app that makes it all work. sounds complicated but not really and worth the investment.

Do you know of a kit available on line? I'm interested sounds like peace of mind to me.

I am actually working on a kit right now, driven by an arduino and all the parts should be relatively cheap. finishing up the ppm and ph portions right now, but have power switching temp and humidty up and running. You can also check out reefangle for an example of what something similar is like.

What devices are you using to measure ph and ppm? I have never found a 'computarized' device cheap to measure either especially ppm?

very awesome! i like it. its kind of an insurance policy.could give a guy a-lot of peace of mind especially if he is out of town. does it record data periodically? or does it measure current conditions only?

My pH board is about 10 bucks for me to make at single board costs, and about 30 more for a decent probe. My ppm board is similar although I cant seem to find a good cheap COTS probe so I am using one I made. As of right now I have an arduino controlling lights, pumps, fans and it is monitoring pH, ppm, 4 temp probes and 1 humidity sensor. I am finishing up a simple host application which will have some graphing of recent ph and ppm and icons for accessory states, and will also allow for remote control and saving data to a db/external source.
