Garbage bin grow?

i was thinking about trying this out... but I need questions answered about the smell. If i were ti install computer fans, one on the bottom and top, do i need to put a carbon filter on both ends to prevent the smell from leaking out? i plan on getting a bin with a sealable cover and using duct tape on every little crack. would this prevent any smell leaks?

Thanks,

and don't hold back if you have any better suggestions for a similar grow for one plant at a time.

a grow space? i think that would be horrible! how are you gonna be stealth doing that? you need to run wires to it for the fans, lights, etc...

You'll need something more powerful then a computer fan to properly move the air in the dumpster.
Look into some inline fans, they'll do the trick.
And yes, you'd have to hook a carbon filter up inside the dumpster on the exhaust ducting to tackle the smell.
You can place it on the outside, but it's more effective when mounted inside the grow area.

so a filter on the exaust fan only? what about the hole where the air comes in? wouldn't there be a little bit of smell coming out from there?

a computer fan could work, i've been growing in this 'style' for about 2 years
i read up on the garbage can, then decided to make my own 'can' from aluminum flashing
let me customize the dimensions(38 inches tall) - works well
if you grow just 1 plant or so, smell usually isn't too much of problem if the temps are under control
though some strains will stink it up, haven't had one of those yet
