which one is swiss bliss if you can recall?

and did you think of covering the whole closet with mylar, or do you figure the white paint reflects enough?

welcome to RIU roosba

first pic, tallest one to the left is the swiss bliss. couldn't cover the rest with the mylar (actually emergency blankets sold in camping dept) due to the heat. uncovered the outside wall and cooled down the closet. but the white walls worked fine. got a new grow going now. K2/flo and Goo both growing with 2 clones of the bagweed plants. had to try my hand at cloning. rooted them with aspirin instead of rooting compound. and soaked them in water till the roots grew, planted and they took off great under the 400 w HPS.

well, aspirin is made from willow bark and I read that you can make your own rooting liquid by boiling willow branches. So, I figured I would try to use aspirin crushed up and dip the end of the cutting in the aspirin, and put them in water with a drop of super thrive. took a while, like 3 wks. but they are thriving now.

Welcome to RIU.

I knew about the technique for boiling willow bark to produce a rooting hormone. And I knew aspirin was made from willow bark. But I never knew anyone who actually tried it. Kudos.

I uses Shultz's powder myself. One little jar of that stuff goes a long way.

Stick around and you will find more than a few middle-aged growers here. Some of the youngsters call us old farts.

Good luck and good growing.

I read that you could make your own rooting solution by boiling willow branches because they have the rooting hormone naturally, so I figured that aspirin is made with willow bark so I thought I would try it with a clipping or 2. I crushed up the aspirin and dipped the clipping end in the aspirin and put it in a cup of water with one drop of super thrive. the roots took about three weeks to sprout and then planted in soil. plants are thriving under a 400 watt HPS light.
