Gallon water per gallon pot?

I use just enough water, to achieve a bit of runoff.

In 10gal of soil, that is usually 2.5-3gal.

I really take my time watering though to give capillary action time to really evenly distribute the water. So I'll slowly water 1gallon, wait about 10 minutes, do another gallon, wait 10 min, and then the final 0.5-1 gallon.

22 - 25oz per gallon of soil seems to be my sweet spot for fully rooted plants.

22 or 25x15 =330-375oz/2.6 -2.93 gallons

Ok but check this plant. 2 months old in 15gallon pot. Watering 1.5 gallon
The pots should be watered until saturated then allowed to dry down until the pot feels very light before saturating again. This allows air to be drawn into the root zone supplying needed oxygen to the roots. It also allows for more fuller root development and growth. Bigger roots = bigger fruits.
