G13 Pineapple Express Grow and Smoke Report

I bought a 5 pack of these seeds at the Cannabis Cup last November. Was trying to decide between these and Flying Dutchman´s Pineapple Punch. Went with these because of the free seeds that came with it, and because I could get flying Dutchman seeds in Amsterdam any time I want, but not G13 seeds.
I thought I grew out 4 of the seeds but recently I realized that there are only 3. Was I stoned the whole time or something? Or did it just disappear somehow? Anyway...
There was one plant that looked even better than the rest. Thick stem, very short internodes, Huge, super narrow sativa leaves, very well developed branches and overall vigor. Seeing as this was probably the best plant I´ve grown so far, I decided to veg it out into a huge bush, and flower it in a 15 liter container (as opposed to 5-10 liter for the rest of the plants). This one is still vegging, and looking really...spherical...and big It´s been topped twice and the tops are now being grown horizontally. This is PE3.
PE1 started flowering first, because it was the second largest at the time. It had a very thick stem, and leaves similar to PE3. It was flowered in 8 liters of organic soil under a 600 Watt HPS lamp. I expected it to flower for at least 9-10 weeks, based on the sativa leaves. To my surprise, it was done in just 8 weeks. I cut it at 8.5 weeks...was busy
The buds were huge, dense and sticky. So sticky, in fact, that while trimming, I found a number of dead flies and a spider stuck to it. This plant was untopped, so the yield could probably be improved. Still, the buds look pretty impressive.
The buds have been cut and trimmed, and are now drying. I did cut off a bud a few days early to sample. It dried in about 3-4 days, and cured for 24 hours, then dried again overnight. I am smoking a bowl of it now, as I write this report, for...uh...maximum accuracy!

So, Pineapple Express 1:

Container size: Vegging: 1 liter Flowering: 8 liter
Medium: Organic soil from Atami
Nutes: Vegging: Some generic fertilizer with lots of N, Canna Rhizotonic
Flowering: Canna Terra Flores, PK 13/14, Rhizotonic
Yield: drying...still to come looks a bit above average.
Bag Appeal:
Smell: While growing: smells like fresh, sweet tropical fruit. Maybe there is some pineapple there, but not very distinct.
Taste: Early sample: Not much taste, a little harsh. Not cured yet.
The High: Pretty strong high. Need to smoke it after its cured for more accurate description.
Comments: Overall, an impressive strain.

I will update once the buds are dried and cured, and when the remaining two plants get harvested.

The sample nug has been curing for a couple days now..starting to develop some haze undertones. Reminds me of the original haze but with some tropical fruit blended in.

keep us updated im looking to order this strain soon, and i cant find many true smoke reports on it. : )

I already grew this, great smell, super fruity, Cure this bad boy for at least 2 months for best results. Average to below average yield, high nothing special, but got the job done.

The biggest nugs went into the jar today. The rest have been curing for a few days, and are starting to smell rather nice. Going to burp the jar tomorrow, then probably leave it for two weeks or so.

PE2 has been growing buds like crazy this past week! Today I noticed that the scent is starting to become similar to PE1. The yield looks like it will be higher; this plant was fimmed and trained...has five huge buds and like ten more that are also pretty big...and it still has another 3.5 weeks to go!

I grew this from one freebie Attitude seed last fall. Fast finisher. Seven to eight weeks. Very dense buds that has lots of weight even if the size doesn't look that big. Smells good. My first impression of the smoke wasn't that great. Kind of put me to sleep. But that was before it has cured a couple of months. I'll have to try it again, unfortunately with my job and possible drug testing, I can't sample it as much as I want. A friend who got two clones from this particular plant raves about the high. And this is a retired guy who smokes everyday.

I know This is a old thread but what's the stretch Like on it? guessing lot's as it's flying in veg lol

I would estimate the stretch to be about 2x veg size when put into flower. Based upon prior experience.

If you get the coffee pheno whicj is the best pheno. It stretches 3x. And is an above average yield. I've grown pe 5 runs. And grew the second version twice. The second version is more frosty, better yield. And actually smelled like fresh pineapples.

Nice 1 mate exactly the answer I was looking for, I have 1 that's been topped for 2 main branches but the branches are a foot long already, I think I'll top again just to make sure what's the smoke Like mate, keeper?

Yours looks Sativa dominant in your avatar my 1 looks more Indica dominant, which pheno is in your avatar?

The smoke was def good. I got 4 half jars kept for myself for a long cure. But after 2 weeks it has a really strong nose of fruit and skunk and berries. The one in my avatar is version 2. It was def a keeper smoke and grow. The fan leaves were covered in trichs. She threw like 4 nanners. But it was my fault. My a.c. quit and it got super hot. I picked em. NVR had anymore. I kept a cut of it for a mother. But overall I give both versions a 7 overall. The high is better and stronger in version 2. But version one coffee pheno was the best of all. But I lost it. It smelled like straight dark roast coffee and skunk.

Cheers mate, just done green crack the frost was amazing Nice smoke too only it takes 9-10 wks to finish so won't be doing them again, what was the finishing time abouts? I heard they're early finishers
