I started flowering on March 4th. I have two different Pineapple Expresses, one Critical Hog, and two Boss Hoggs (one is hidden behind the duct work. This is only my second grow so input and constructive comments are welcomed!

Clockwise from top left (not including the Boss Hogg hidden behind the ducting) are Pineapple Express #1, PE #2, Boss Hogg and Critical Hog:

Photo taken on March 9th, five days into flowering. They vegged for a bit over a month.

I'm thinking that they need a bit more nitrogen. I was very fortunate that the Boss Hogg turned out to be a female. They vegged under a 400 watt hps and will flower under a 1000 watt hps. They are grown in potting soil inside of 4-gallon pots.

Nice grow. I just harvested 2 g-13 Pineapple Exps today. I was always battling nitrogen deficiencies. I ran organic soil and used blood meal in addition to Grow nutes with my Bloom until the very last day.

I kept them a bit small by topping because I wasn't sure if they would stretch. If they continue to not stretch too much I will let any I decide to keep for my next grow to veg for a lot longer.

Like the strain selection a lot man. Things are looking good other than that deficiency. I think you're spot on N deficiency being it
Thanks! Can you or anybody else recommend a gentle source of N that won't burn the crap out of my plants? I had a bad experience in the past with using too much fert.

Subbed!
Just finished germinating 5 g13 pe's myself, along with 5 caramelo, 5 cotton candy, 10 hindu kush, 1 choc heaven and 1 critical+.
Im vegging this group under a 400cmh and if the growth continues to go nuts like it is ill continue with more cmh's for the entire veg cycle.

I started a cutting from the Boss Hogg at 12/12 so it is further ahead than the others. It is developing beautifully with nice purple highlights and an extra dank smell. Behold:

I grew a pineapple express last grow. Amazing strain. Takes anything you throw at it. Good luck.

Agreed with all that^^^ , it definitely has smell haha, not a super skunky one though if thats your main concern. Theres a lot of journals on PE you can check out, including mr2shim and I.

G13 Labs Pineapple Express update.

These things are nitrogen hogs, I gave them a full dose of ferts and they are still yellowing. I allow the temperature to reach 50 degrees Fahrenheit at night, yet these plants are not purpling. However, that is not a big deal to me. They are starting to develop a sweet smell and the buds are covered in trichomes. I wish I would have vegetated them for a month longer because they hardly stretched.

I give them epsom salts before flowering so I doubt I have a magnesium deficiency. The main stems are green and the boss hogg (the one that is purple) has some nice sized buds on it. They still have 4 to 5 weeks to flower so it is not all that surprising that the buds are small, they will probably swell up in the next three weeks. I allow the water to sit 24 hours and I also use aquarium water so the pH should be good. I need to find a good source of N.

EDIT: Hmm, looking at #2 again it does look like a magnesium deficiency. Thanks for mentioning it, now I have to correct it.
