G13 Labs Pineapple Express and White Widow

My newest grow is G13 Labs 2 Pineapple Express and 2 White Widow There about 5 weeks into veg. Ive had a few problems with heat, temps were hitting nearly 40c also my PH was high but I've fixed that now.
I think the issues have stunted them abit.

I dont have pics of the plants just now but al take some later on tonight for you all to have a look.

I am using Biobizz light mix soil, Biobizz nutes and a 600watt HPS.


I have a homemade tent and its about 1.25m x 1.25m, I currently have a 9" fan blowing on the plants but starting to think I will need a intake and extraction with a charcoal filter as they are starting to smell
What budget fan and filter would you guys suggest? I was looking at the cheap kits on ebay, are they any good?

Looks good man. I got all my fans on ebay and there good. Just like with anything you buy, make sure it's from a reputable source.

nice job man really! you should try to straighten out your reflective material so theirs no wrinkles and waves in it, you dont wanna give off bad rays for your plant.

How's it going. Good to see you got something growing. Yeah I would go with eBay for a cheap fan and filter. But remember you get what you pay for. A couple times I got burnt.

looking realy nice ..

about fans .. can get a nice 100mm/4 inch canal ventilation for like 80-100$ and a small 100mm/4 inch carbon filter .. cost like 50$ maybe ..

I had to buy mine at the local hydro store as smell was to much .. so maybe payd a littel bit more then on ebay ? tho I safed the shipping ..

I payd in US $ sumthing like 170$ in total ... 2 hours later my REALY bad male cat like piss stink was all gone from my appartmetn .. and temps in the room also drop +5C with the fan on .. Im sure my plants also enjoy the fresh air that is getting pulld in ..

normaly you use it for out take .. to make underpresure/negativ presure ... to ensure that all air going out is going out trough the carbon filter and so no air ecsape the room .. fit it high in the room (high temp. air is ther) and a passiv intake at the bottom twise the size schould do it ..

best investment I made .. maybe even better then my 600W HPS cant realy do with out any of em Im sure ..

That crappy tin foil was replaced with some good mylar. Its not perfect but its alot better. The pics up at the top are pretty old. Al get some new ones later when my light comes on.
I need to repot them all this weekend as there getting big now. Got some nice big pots.

yea a repotting of them small Veg plants would proberbly do em good .. Im sure it wont hurt em (make sure to do it gentel .. no rush)

beside a good soil mix .. I like to add a inch or two of lega nuts at the bottom .. for drain .. so roots dont sit in water at the bottom ..

got two speeds .. you can also get some with Temperture activation aso. if your ready to spend the money ..

do some research .. sucks to find out you got sumthing to small and need to buy a bigger one or I can imagen .. to pay to mouch for a hugh one that is`t nesseary and just end up pulling your tent in and out through your filter (J/K)

but try to find out how many room meters (M/3) your grow room are .. and then look for a ventilation that can empty your room in 1-5 minuts .. 1 if you struggel with heat ..

also make sure to add a littel with the carbon filter on as it do take some of the sug from the ventilation .. so a good idea is to go for a littel bit bigger then you think you might need ..

I belive and some day I will try it .. that you can make a DIY outtake with carbon filters for a small grow box with no heat problems to speak off ..
I saw them small 6 inch in diremeter cooker filters (for replacement) the other day at my "walmart" cost like 10$ its the same carbon (activ carbon) as in them big filters you pay 50-300$ for ..

I know you also can buy 10KG buckets of it for like 60$ .. but this is easy ... with a small cheap bathroom ventilation (100/M3/hr) cost the same .. and a bit of tubeing .. Im sure it can do the trick in a small space .. lets say 2x2x4 feet box .. with a Auto and some low heat T5HO 2" tubes ..

just for the funn of it and to see how much you could yild with a low budget set up if you do it "right"

are yours also a German made 600W HPS poot light ?I got mine used .. but reconditioned with new bulb .. wireing aso.
2 years waringty I belive .. for like 60£ at basementlighting.uk ..

Looks like your PE is an indica dom, broad leaves and such.

Mine are more Sativa dom, very thin leaves. In week 5 flower now.

Not 100% sure but think mine is from the netherlands or somewhere close but yeah it is a 600watt HPS.

what kind of bulb your useing ?

I belive I use a 2100K Philips green light or sumthing like that .. not to sure .. was a new bulb in the lamp when I got it ...

so I will just use that one for the fist 2-3 runns .. but I am looking in to what the best kind is for our lamps .. with a magnatic ballast..

Not sure on the bulb either tbh lol a mate gave me a load of gear for my first grow as I looked after some plants for him.

some how they still look like you over water them ?

yellow leave at the bottom and look a bit droppy aswell ..

do you lets it dry out well ? give it a few days or more in between waterings ?
specialy if they dont grow so fast .. they wont use much water .. how about the bottom of the pots ? is it constandly wet ? do you have nice drain holes ?

if you did`t allready I would for sure repot em .. get some nice 3 gallon pots with nice drain holes in the bottom .. maybe grow bags .. schould alov the roots to breath ..

if you use pots .. get some cheap lega nuts and place a inch or two in the bottom .. that way you avoyd haveing wet packd soil at the bottom and give the pots nice draining .. and alow air for the roots at the bottom ..

also look in to soil mix recipes .. google it .. a lot of stuff you can mix in with the soil to provide your plants with some food and micro/trace elements ..

Thanks for all the advice. I have started to leave 3 days between waterings now and its made a big difference. They dry out fully aswell. I have some nice big pots, just need to get some more soil before I can use them. Al try pick some up tomorrow.

that will help with many things I belive .. you will soon have evrything you need to grow helthy plants ..

and get some good soil and repot em please .. will do em good Im sure ..

I repot mine from 1 gallon pots to 3 gallon pots after 2 weeks or so .. and agin to 5 gallon pots after 5 weeks or so .. and then agin to 7 (dont need that I just grew 2 plants under a 600W HPS so I need room)

make a good soil mix .. dont just think a bag of cheap garden/rose soil will cut it ..

need to atlest get some good wormcasting to mix in it for food .. and some perelit/lega nuts/cleen sand to make the soil light .. weed love light soil with a lot of air pockets ... dont like heavy low PH/sour peetmoss/soil ..

stuff like Epsom salt .. Doltimit Lime ... Bat Guano ... blood/bone Meal is also nice to mix in ..

another way to go is coco ..

consider it myself .. will do one or two on my next runn to see if I like it..

its more clean .. and can be reused with a good flush/cleaningagent .. and it dont hold anything realy ..

your provide with all the nutriens/micros/trace elements its need ..
close to hydro and schould give good results when you master it .. better then soil .. I consider it also Bc. its allmost impossible to over water

can also mix it in the soil insted/or with Perlit as it also make the soil more "light" for good draining ..

what kind of nutriens do you use ? if any ?

At the moment I'm using Bio Bizz Light Mix Soil with the Bio Bizz nutes. Bio Grow, Bio Bloom and Top Max.

The soil has nutes in already so havent added any more yet. Scared I will burn them tbh.
