G13 Labs Auto NL x Auto AK late stage grow report (Day 76)...smoke report eventually

Hey everyone, been off for a bit. I haven't posted a grow in a bit but I have a girl I wanted to share pics of, so here we go.

Back in December, I ordered a pack of G13 Labs Auto Northern Lights to give them a try (after one grow of those, less than satisfied, but that's another story). As a promotion, I received some freebies from G13 Labs including their Super Skunk and something called "Auto NL x Auto AK".

Well, back in April, I finally decided to pop one of these ANL x AAK beans. I want to preface this by saying that it was sort of a quick and unplanned grow. I had a spot in my flowering room reserved for a specific clone, but that clone didn't make it so I was pressed to fill that void. I'm a very small grower with limited space...I hate an empty spot in my 12/12 room, so I popped this seed.

Now I assumed because it was an autoflower crossed with another auto, that it was an autoflower. Therefore I vegged her for maybe 2 weeks only before going 12/12 . The reason is simple. My veg room is comprised of 2 150w HPS lamps and I have found that even on a 20/4 cycle, they just don't put out enough lumens to grow autoflowering plants. So I gave her a little head start and then POW, into 12/12 she went, where I have a 1000w HPS.

The way she has grown, I am almost positive that she's not an auto. the package did say 2 FEM, but I thought it a typo. Apparently a cross between two autos does not automatically produce an auto...I didn't know that (learn something new every day)

Why do I say all this? Partially because I recorded her progress the way I record most auto's, in "days from seed to harvest". Unfortunately this means I didn't take note of when I moved her to 12/12. So I apologize that that info is missing.

I also mention it because I don't touch autos when I grow them. I have had the most success with autoflowers by just putting 'em in big pots and letting them go natural. So this girl wasn't topped, FIM'ed, super cropped or anything. In fact, other than the nutes, I was kind of hard on her, not expecting much.

So here we are at day 76 from seed today. I plan on harvesting her in 3 or 4 days. Trichs are 80% cloudy with very few ambers right now. She foxtails fiercely, but she is just dripping with trichs. I have a second seed of this, may have to be more caring with that one.

So without further ado...

Setup:
Soil grow using Miracle Grow Moisture Control formula (I was out of FFoF and it's 90 min to nearest hydro store)
Approximately 5 Gal pot
Seed planted directly in substrate in its final container
Vegged for ~2 weeks under 150 w HPS
Flowered under 1000w HPS
No molestation...No topping, No FIM, nada
Nutes...nothing for 30 days then 1/2 dose FF Tiger Bloom and 1/2 dose FF Big Bloom every other watering.
That's it.

Note that she is a continual grower and has just kept stacking calyxes. What she really needed was a week at 10/14 probably, but unfortunately that's not possible for me logistically, so it is what it is.

I thought she was worthy of photos, especially since this is something unavailable for purchase right now. I assume it was a trial run. Tried to contact G13 labs for info but you can't get in touch with those guys. The email is bad. Hell they don't even update their site with the new strains the DO have available at Attitude. But I gotta say, most of their gear has proven quite good for me.

More pics of the final product to follow as well as a smoke report.

Well the two main parents are both well known. I've never grown ak47 but I have grown northern lights. Although this is an almost pure Sativa crossed with an almost pure indica, this result was clearly Sativa dom. It looks noing like northern lights. The smell is also very Sativa. Lots of beautiful citrus and floral notes.

Having said all this, these are two autoflowering versions crossed with each other, so who knows what other ruderalis genes are in there.

Sure smells and looks good tho :)

Btw...this was a pain in the ass to harvest, as are most fox tailing sativas. So I left her less trimmed than usual.

Cure is going well. Smoking a sample now and the initial impression is favorable.

Only 36 Grams but that's fully dried and de-stemmed.
