Hey was up everyone.?
Well as the title explains, my goals and intentions are max efficiency with a decent yield in mind. I will be growing a single fininized G13 Gigabud in a 5 gallon DWC buckect.
I will be using GH floraseries 3 part nute formula as a base with supplements from advanced nutrients, fox farm, biogreen, humbodlt nutrients, biobizz, and the tried and true superthrive.
My efficiency tactics come in to play with the lighting I choose. To veg. this little bonita muchacha I will be implementing a 68w 6500k CFL that throws out about 5000k lumens. Not to bad for one light and one plant.
Then for flower I will be taking out the CFL and replacing it with my new 126w full spectrum LED which can replace a 400w HPS or so.
My reason for this grow mainly is to test the capability of new technologies. I.E. the super low power consuming LED I will be implementing. We all know CFLs can veg just as good if not better than a MH light but the ture question is can a LED flower the same if not better than an HPS? I dont know about you but I want to find out.
Before anyone tells me I am wasting my time and should not bother with LED just keep in mind I am no "newb" to maryjane. I have been growing for a long time with mainly a 600w cooltube. MY average yield between 6 plants is normally a hair over 1 lbs dried. So please safe you breath, I frankly am sick of running HUGE HID lights, 3+ fans, high heat, the damn noise, huge light barriers, pretty much a lot of things that commonly associated with HID lighting. So I decided to try something new, and if it works awesome like I plan, I will be buying 3 more 126 LED panels.
Here is a pic at about 3 days old. And before anyone tells me the orange bucket is light transparent I'm already aware and am just waiting for a black bucket to free up . Here you go, let the fun begin
