G13 C99 any good?

No, it's junk. Out of over 100 plants it is by far the worst plant I have ever grown and I almost wouldn't even consider it marijuana. It just didn't look like any plant I have ever grown, had hardly no trichomes at all and no smell. This is NOT C99.. and in my opinion is not worth anything other then the trash can. I read another grower that thought the same thing, and said it was the worst plant he has ever grown in his life. That said, I have read a couple reviews saying it was OK.. but I would not chance it at all. Grab some Female Seeds C99 and enjoy it.. that is one of the best strains I have ever grown and is real C99.

Out of those, I would choose Purple Trainwreck from HSO, or Blue OG from G13. Both are probably the top choices out of those ones listed. Second choices would be Lost Coast Hashplant from HSO, and WWxBB from Female Seeds. Not sure how the Ghost Train Haze fems are, haven't heard much about them but I figure it's probably decent too.. But might be a pretty long flowering period on her.

Cheers, I dont understand how it can be such rubbish with the same name. How many did you grow? wasnt just a badddd seed?

Because the name don't mean shit. They can call it whatever they like, but that doesn't mean it is going to be the same fire as all the other C99s, it just isn't the same genetics at all. And yes, could very well have been a bad seed with some ok ones in there if you grow enough of them out. But with another forum member actually saying it was the worst plant he has ever grown too, doesn't seem like good odds. Let's put it this way.. I'd grow any other seed out in the world over these.. that's how bad mine was. I have grown lots of crappy Mexican bag seeds that was much much nicer then this plant was.

I would just never waste my time on growing that one out no matter what.. when you figure you can buy a Female Seeds C99 for like $8 - that $8 isn't much in the realm of things after you consider soil costs, nutrients, electricity, etc. Plus the ounces of pot you get when it's done. Instead of having $30 in a plant that could turn out to be complete crap, you'd have $38 in a plant that will for sure turn out to be at least very nice. Not saying don't grow it.. just saying I wouldn't waste my time with it and you got the warning from me.

100% agree with Dr Frost, this 'strain' is pure garbage. I grew out a few about 3 years ago, it was not C99. Mine were full indica, had a tiny skunkish smell, no flavour and very little high. I vegged for over 8 weeks under a 600w hps and flowered for 10 weeks..ended up with less than 5oz from 4 plants. I've grown hundreds of strains and this rates as THE WORST one yet. Don't waste your time hey!

There ya have it.. 4 plants from mo, 1 from me.. all junk - so pretty decent odds that one is junk. Sorry for your loss man, but there is a lot of junk seeds out there. You just got to do the research before you order them. You have some decent ones there though.. I grew out a Blue OG that was decent, and I have heard of others getting some great phenos. The Purple Trainwreck is very well liked. And I am sure the lost coast hashplant is good to since it is from HSO - they are one of my favorite fem seed breeders. I have never grown a bad seed from HSO. Also the WWxBB and Ghost Train Haze would probably be pretty decent, and I have grown lots of OK plants from Dinafem so I bet the Critical Cheese is pretty decent too.

After you grow enough plants out you will come to realize what I said before though.. it isn't worth growing bad or even mediocre seeds out after you figure all the costs and time you put into it. Look at it like this

Free Seed - Electricity $15, Soil, $5, Nutrients, $5, random $5 - $30ish for say 4 oz of mediocre pot
Good Seed - Same as above but say $8-10 for the seed extra so $38ish for 4oz of fire weed.
PLUS 3 months of your time!

It's up to you if that extra $8 is worth it for 4 oz of dank over 4 oz of mediocre. It is for me, and why I won't grow out most seeds from these big euro companies anymore.

Yeah I grew out the blue og too, that was some frosty shit! Pretty damn potent too. I'd grow that over the C99 any day, no questions asked! All the points Doctor Frost has made are spot on, you don't want to get to the end after spending all that cash and find out its junk. You have a few other beans there that are fire, grow them out first! Ghost train haze, lost coast hashplant, purple trainwreck...all good strains!!

I really hope you didn't waste your money on these.

I grew out come C99 freebies from G13 a couple years back. Just like @DoctorFrost said, pure JUNK. I had 3 phenos, none were Cindy99, not even in the slightest. The smell and taste was the worst part. They all had weird smells, not good weird. Nasty weird.. All yielded low and had really low bag appeal. Overall I'd give the strain a D- and that's because it grew..

On another note-

I received a Pineapple Express freebie a few years back and it was Great! Big yielding, covered in resin, it literally smelled like pine and apples and had a great buzz.

..so I decided to buy a pack to find that nice of a pheno again. Ernnnnttt. The 5 pack of fems was so unstable it was ridiculous. Not one came out like my freebie, just more nasty smelling, low yielding, bad tasting JUNK. I wasn't too happy with all the wasted time and space..

My advice- don't go with G13, theirs plenty of other good banks/strains to spend your money on.

There ya have it, add a few more to the list :) I believe I once heard that G13 has this super skunk male or something skunk and they use it to cross to most of their crosses. Could be wrong on this, and the info might not be correct anyways

I also grew their Pineapple Express.. not sure how many plants but probably around 5 different ones. Out of them all they were fairly similar but all slightly different and what I'd consider pretty decent for fem seeds. Better then probably 75% of the fem seeds I have grown but nothing truly special. But there was this 1 pheno I found out of about 5 that was very very nice.. much frostier and stickier then all of the others but it just had almost no yield to it. If I remember right it was much more sativa and had more of a pineapple fruity smell but it's been so long don't hold me to that. I know most of the G13 PE plants were very stinky skunky smelling.

Here's the thing.. there aren't many good femenized seed breeders out there. Most of the awesome breeders out there like Bodhi, Gage Green, etc only come in regs. But if you do your research you can find which ones are the best and get something much better then is offered by G13, Dinafem, TH Seeds, etc. My favorites were always HSO most of their stuff was pretty good but not really any true keepers on the same level as Bodhi gear (but no fems I have found are). CSI_Humboldt is also another great place to get some fem beans. Sin City is one I would recommend that I haven't even grew out - they have a great rep. Pisces Genetics has some really nice chem/diesel/OG strains in Fem but haven't tried those either. Plus most of the big seed banks you hear about have their 1-2 good strains and their 10-20 bad ones. For example Green House Seeds has a horrible reputation and most of their weed is probably very mediocre at best.. but their Super Lemon Haze is still getting great reviews. You just got to do some research before ordering.

Pretty sure this is correct info. I read this a while back when I was looking for answers on why my c99s were nothing like c99 and this answered the question 100%.

I've grown their super skunk, and it's definitely what was used in the c99 cross. nothing wrong with it, Just produced c+ grade buds.It was phenomenal in veg and yielded really well. I even took two clones, rooted them in 4 days planted them in 2 gals right beside the mom and got a half ounce off each- not bad.

Great! That's a lot of freebies. I'd give them away to people in need or something of the like, don't toss them lol..

Mrsoul is back in the game and is putting back out his c99/Apollo lines. If you want real Cindy look into him, otherwise female and mosca have the closest to the real versions I've seen..

Tga also used to have a Space dude male (C99 x romulan) that was pretty nice, lost it and now all of his gear is pretty scattered for the most part but you may beable to find some Cindy in those lines. I ran his Space Queen back in 2011 and it was STRAIGHT c99 DANK. I wish I still had it, it was the closest strain of weed I had to compare to fruit. No funk, no grease, just a little bit of menthol and PINEAPPLE/BANANA/MANGO SMOOTHIE ftw.

I strongly recommend to feed them to your budgie along with all the autos and that WW x BB. Rarely has a plant disappointed us as much as these G13 C99. They are clearly nothing like C99.
No vigor, no tricomes, no taste, no buzz. We even paid money for them.
The only G13 strain i would buy again is hypnotic.
I would give that Ghost Train Haze and the Durban Poison a go.

its a real kick in the guts for BUDS4FUN but the truth is the truth, probably best to research strains here before purchasing, im not even going to mention my pre-RIU strains that ive got in stock which i havnt grown out but thought were good cos i only knew the hype of 'certain' magazines', bound for the budgie feed tray

Sure is mate. Pretty sure he got them as freebies though so at least he isnt out of pocket for them!!

I ran 1 freebie and didnt clone it based on reviews. She ended up being decent. Had a pineapple skunk to her and similar high to the dozen or so different c99 and c99 dominate crosses ive ran. Her leaf and overall structure was c99 like. Wasnt 100% c99 but definitley 75% there. I wouldnt buy them though id get female seeds version.
