This is to the thread, not just you but I agree with the person who said the stories about how the antiwar efforts were full of people spitting on uniforms is overrated. That's probably a few anecdotes of idiots who never represented the rebellious nature of the baby-boomer generation.

The slogan "Support Our Troops; Bring them Home!" was but one of the myriad of slogans we dusted off and recycled when VVAW helped us do an IVAW.

Imo “Alt left” was Trump’s invention, a response to Charlottesville, presumably, following his dotard reasoning, to balance the narrative against the torch bearing Nazis of the alt right. Good people on all sides shit.
