Fuzz on my buds! Mold? Mites? Please take a look (3 pics)

Noticed this fuzzy stuff on one of my buds today:



Got a couple close-ups with the microscope cam:





Am I looking at mold, or spider mites, or something else entirely? I'm only about a week from harvest so I'm really hoping to keep things from going south just a bit longer!

Looks more like mites than mildew. Mites are not hard to detect with a scope or even a magnifying glass.

Mites can do a fuck of a lot of damage in one weeks time.

Fuckin mites. Too bad...

Can you take a picture of the bud not so close.

What is your humidity? Nothing on any other part of the plant?

That looks like straight mold to me. Bud rot, likely from high RH or foliar feeding/spraying in late flower etc.

Definitely mold. Cut that Shit off and get it out of ur grow before it spreads.

That is straight up bud rot

Yep, that is mold....And even tho it sucks it is great that you got some hi def pics of it! There are at least two types of rot/mold that confuse people! Actual fuzzy mold like this and Tobacco worm caused rot! I had the Tobacco worm rot on one of my colas on my Black Cherry Soda! I caught it and the one and only Tobacco worm and killed em both. I didn't get good pics like these! Tobacco worm rot is more of a brown rotting area with the little sugar leaves shriveling, browning and the buds in the area being soft, brown and mushy just falling off the stem into your fingers with a slight tug!

Nice pics...Sorry about the mold! Cut it out remove the infected pieces, don't touch any other part of your plant and disinfect your scissor with rubbing alcohol!

You gotta keep humidity and airflow in check.

That is the very beginning of Botrytis or bud rot.. it starts on the outside.. works its way to the
stem then spreads from the inside out.. bad shit!!
