Egypt pays their police practically nothing. The result is police station have become centers for extortion and shakedowns of the local businesses and people who live in the area
Mexico pays their police practically nothing. The result is the police are subcontractors who make most of their pay selling protection services to gangs.
China pays its regulators practically nothing. The result is regulators look the other way for a fee. Protected forests are being logged, food safety is a joke, environmental laws are not enforced and everybody suffers.
The list goes on and on. A real harm and present danger lies in how Trump is breaking down professionalism among the ranks of public employees.
