Funny looking plant

I had 2 seeds that I got from a bag of OG Kush. Both were planted at the same time and are growing well but I am seeing something that I have not seen before. At the bottom of the plant it is like most other plants meaning that it has a set of leaves opposite each other and between the stem and the leaf there is a bud set starting. At the 5th set of leaves I topped the plant and then it changed so that the leaves coming from the main stalk above the cut are not opposite each other but about 1 inch apart. See pic 2. The next set above that are even farther apart see pic1. By the time you open pic 3 you can see they are opposite and between each other. I have not been growing that long but I have not seen this before. The plants are usually evenly spaced. Any info would be good thanks. Both plants are growing the same way.

It’s called alternating nodes.

it’s a sign of maturity.
