The funky skunky road kill skunk isn't dead!!!
I knew it was still out their most people say its been gone since the 60's but I had it early 2000's. so whats up Neville are you gonna work on putting out seeds or what? I know I'll be in line for neville's rks.

If it were still around it would be easy to find... Last time I had the REAL thing was in early 90's.
I've smoked many skunky strains since then + none are the same but some are similar smells.

One person posts wild comments and everyone jumps on the bandwagon.
Don't you think breeder's would've hopped on the RoadKill strain like they did OG kush+Diesels?

Actually, skunk didn't make its way around until the late 70's. I saw it for the first time around 79'. Saw it for the last time around 93'.

Yeah and Skunk#1 doesn't taste/smell as much like the real Roadkill either...
If you've grown Skunk#1 from a few different breeders like I have (10-20 beans of each)>
Then you'd know the real stink that you smell 1/4-1/2 mile away isn't there anymore
+ the stone has become more mellow + less heady (aka more indica)

http://www.mrnice.nl/forum/6-breeders-support-information/2049-road-kill-skunk.html
there's a pretty good link i found
best i could get out of it is if you want that "roadkill high", down near the bottom a guy claims there is a cheese from europe with that roadkill type pheno. As far as skunk genetics goes "the pure" is a sweeter version of that skunk plant
UK Cheese is specific pheno of skunk which was known for it's "awful" smell. And having smoked it recently, it most certainly does stink like shit.

I was kinda thinking that after looking at his older posts. I would think if it was the real Neville he'd talk about his new strains but most his posts are about mr. nice. I'm thinking he's a member of the mns forum with way too much time on his hands. Like one I seen sounds like he just cut and pasted Neville's post from mns.

The old Roadkill doesn't smell like shit... Just skunk spray + you could smell it from atleast 1/4 mile away!
It had a head high+stoned feeling to it so surely a mixture of sativa+indica.

according to the breeder for kaliman Cheese has no skunk #1 but he also said he had a Cheese cut turn to a complete male. But IMO the guys full of shit.

Real RKS was an afghani and was not the skunk 1 the seed banks sold even back in the early 80's. Seed bank had one type skunk 1 and SSSC had a different version. The real skunk smelled just like skunk spray and if you had a 1/4 in your pocket and got in an elevator everyone would wonder who had it. It was an afghani. Use to get it all the time back in the 80's until 93. Then "guy" got caught walking out with trash bags full of it back in 93. He was the one who grew it for most of the east coast. Sure it traveled outside that area and even west. The strain, seeds came originally from the west coast "Cali" and the tell tale plate leaf on the bud was the dead giveaway you were dealing with the real deal. The smell was the other dead giveaway. But if someone had it today the way to recognize it would be the plate leaf. It was of course covered in raised trich's. The only time seeds were in the crop was back in 88. A large number of seeds were in his crop that year. The were big and brown. Don't remember if they had strips or just black dashes on them. But the plants it produced were 5 ft to 6 ft tall but at least 8 ft across and the cola's were fat and huge.

Back in the late 70's (early 80's) skunk was being bred in SoCal by sacred seeds. When that disbanded Sam the skunkman took thousands of those beans with him to Amsterdam. Sam did not care for the road kill aroma, so he chose to breed those characteristics out. That is why most skunk is sweet skunk, not RKS. The much sweeter skunk is in all Dutch genetics.

Interesting.....as im from the east originally. I have reservations about this being a pure afghani.
Unless their is a rare afghani sativa? Skunk has some sativa for sure.
All the afghani's i smoked back then were chronic, much better than afghani today. They were dank and skunky, but tasted more hashy, skunky n earthy, a true joy to smoke.
The skunk i got had longer more spear shaped super sticky spongy dense buds.
They were more army green in color, and the taste was like the smell. All skunk almost a sourness. And the high was up, giggly, happy, chinese eye and strong, with a stony come down.
A truely great hybid.

this is in tune with whag bodhi said, he described it a
s similar to a dark afghani. i've certainly got some broadleaf phenos of his skunk91
(chem 91 skunk VA x RKS). still in veg, but already gettin' stinky.
