so i looked at one of my plants the other day, and i noticed a bud on it that was brown... and fuzzy... when i touched it.. the bud fucking like melted / disintegrated into nothingness...

i checked for worms and whatnot, didnt see any.. couldnt really inspect too much since whatever i touched basically disappeared

so im gussing this is a fungus or mold, my question is after i cut all the affected areas off.. would hydrogen peroxide sprayed on the plant help prevent this from spreading?

check in the stems you will find caterpillars for sure i got the same thing now. I boutgh organic insect soap that i can use up to the day of harvest so looks like i gotta pay more attention to the plant so the caterpillars do not lay any more eggs U gotta kill the eggs immeditaly

what you have is called bud rot. unfortunatley its pretty much over from here, once it sets in and you start seeing the mushy fuzzy buds its only a matter of 1-2 weeks until the plant is taken over or your whole crop if there are others nearby. you can try and chase the rot by continuing to cut off the infected areas when you see them pop up, but everytime you cut the plant stops growing and proceds to try and recoop from the cutting. You also run the risk of spreading the spores all over. the only product that ive seen or used that will slow it down a bit is called serenade, but it smells super terrible and only slows it down for a few days. If you are outdoors i would cut the infected areas spray it down to see if you can get another week or 2 of growth and the minute you see it pop up again harvest, chop off and throw away the infected herb and make yourself some good hash with the rest
