Fungus/Mold or Trichomes? (Buds)

Hey guys, I actually don't know if this is the correct section to post this since I haven't harvested these flowers myself, but here it goes. After smoking 2 joints throughout the day, I noticed that they have this white powder like dust that comes off if I press with my finger a little bit, really strong on some stems, this is something that isn't really noticeable if there aren't lights around (The flash of the photos actually showed some more that I wasn't seeing), and they kinda look like little white hairs in some pics. Now, I've had strong flowers before but I've never seen something this white, which is what made me doubt about them.

Thing is, I know they don't look like much, but I've smoked them and not only did they taste amazing (And smell amazing too), but they gave me one of the best highs I've had in years with just a few hits. So I'm kinda confused about this. I've seen pics of frost-bitten weed that sometimes can look like the stuff I see but I'm not sure.

Should I just toss them away? Is this that white powdery mold some people talk about? Could it be some other thing that got into the bag where they came?

This is a shame since I don't think I will be able to get new stuff for a long time :'(. Anyway, I've broken some buds so you can see them. Please open up the photos and look up close. (I wish I had a better camera, I know)

You mean all the little white hairs are actually mold too?

They got me way higher than weed that looked much better, weird. What a shame.

that pic i dont see any but on other one that white fluffy definately looks like mold. as for that got you higher possibly ive never smoked mold but i hear the high is life changing

Lol I didn't know mold could get me high, I guess I shouldn't smoke them then, that doesn't sound good. It felt like a strong weed high tho, and they smell good too, I guess it might be a type of mold that doesn't smell that much?

if you can take better photos thad be good its just those last to pics on the right part of your nugg that white stuff on the stems look like the start of it

Sorry to say but I'm seeing mold buddy (the powdery white stuff) :-?

The white parts are actually the same you see in that first pic, I think the flash makes it a lot more white than I thought.

Basically, it's that white concentration mainly on the stems, that when look up close has hairs, but it becomes kinda like dust if pressure is applied. So yeah, most likely powdery white right? How should it behave when coming off? This seems kinda like chalk residue, you can see it in my fingers.

Ok, so, the guy who gave them to me says it's only some "Diatomaceous Earth" that he used on the plant and got onto the buds. Could this be real?

lmao, yeah that earth is real and smoking it probably wont kill you, but since we cant physically see the bud its pretty much your call. i personally say looks like the start of mold but honestly dude i wouldnt hesitate to just throw that away i mean how lit can that shit really even get you?

moldy bud has a definite taste and odor....some molds are dangerous to breath in spores

mighty strange looking bud there man

sometimes i have salvaged bud (like in inner large cola) by cutting away any mold....but this is prior to curing
