Did anyone figure out what those other tiny little bug things were?
Thank you
Thank you good infoIf you look at them when they're sitting still (not stuck to the yellow card), fungus gnats hold their wings flat/horizontal at rest, winged root aphids hold their wings vertically, kinda like a sail
While looking at them on a sticky trap it’s pretty easy to tell the difference based off body length in correspondence to wing length. The gnat will have wings the same length if not very close to the same length of the body. The tail and wings are pretty much equal. While looking at a root aphid the body stops at the halfway point of the wings, the wings will stick out noticeably further than its body length.Thx for all the help the only confusing thing to me is knowing the difference between the two. Online it says aphids have a distinct tailpipe coming off the end ?? When you look at both it’s hard to tell just curious what really makes the difference
I just put sticky traps on the pots and hang a few around the tent and add a sachet of Nematodes to 5L of water. They are gone in under a week.
