I played around with my camera more tonight. Ive starting to learn how to use it. Ive got some nice pictures for you all. First are a couple shots of my purple bagseed male. He's really taken off in the last two days. He's flowering much quicker now that he's getting some real light. Ill separate him from the females in the next 2-3 days most likely.

I also bring detailed measurements as well. I think this will be the last detailed update. Its a pain in the ass to bring them all out of the tent and measure them. From here on out, it'll just be pictures and any random thoughts I have.

This plant baffles me. First she stretches from the get go, slows down, and then ramps it right back up. I may end up super cropping her if she keeps stretching.

Well this little lady has more or less stopped stretching now, and its impossible to count nodal growth now. The nodes are so tightly stacked on top of each other on the quadfoliate branch, that I just can't count them any more.

Purp C has really stretched in the last few days. 5.5 inches in 3 days, but overall stretching ha slowed down. She is still lagging behind in the flowering department.

Well its day 25, and I have some pictures, and remember to hover your mouse over the picture for some descriptions in case you are new to this thread.

First are some pictures of clones. The first two pics are a Chunky Cindy made using my home made cloner that I learned about here. Im much happier with the results of it over the Rapid Rooters. I haven't been able to keep the right moisture level with the Rapid Rooters, and I doubt Ill ever try them again after the initial success of using only vermiculite as a wick cloner. Hell, I dont even need a humidity dome, or need to snip leaves in half.

More pictures to come in subsequent posts.

Early Durbans below. I can't quite remember how long they've been flowering. Somewhere around two weeks I think? Im pretty sure all 5 are females at this point.

And to finish it off are some Skunk Haze Shots.

IMG_0235.jpgIMG_0270.jpgIMG_0258.jpgIMG_0252.jpgIMG_0287.jpgIMG_0289.jpgIMG_0288.jpgIMG_0271.jpg

Last few notes. My fungus gnats have returned. Grrr. Ive added an extra dunk to my reservoir, and when I return to water in a day or two, I will be crushing up a dunk and top dressing with it as well. All the 'original' ladies are now flowering. The Early Durbans aren't too far behind. Theres also 5 other bagseeds in there that turned out female, so 26 females in all.

Ive decided I wont be pollinating any of these ladies. Im too afraid Ill get pollen mixups working with so many strains, so any seeds that may arise out of these will be discarded. Im collecting pollen from the males I have, so I can pollinate future clones under more ideal conditions.

I just returned from my lovely ladies and have a few notes for all that are following along.

I thought I needed a new filter, but after sniff testing the exhaust, all I smell is carbon. I believe the problem I was having with smell was caused by high humidity. The humidity has dropped from high 60's, to low 40's. I no longer open the tent and see condensation on the walls now. I actually have more plants in there now, but I think the loss of lower leaves from watering problems is the most likely cause for the lower humidity. Too bad I just spent $150 on a new filter. Woops. Well its good to have a backup filter just in case, so no biggie.

Some of the ladies were fairly droopy today after having gone 4 days without water, but Im sure they'll all look great by tomorrow, after getting a mild feeding/watering. Ill be grabbing some more pics then. My camera eats batteries and I wasn't able to get any real pics today.

I have realized, that Purp C is actually a Chunky Cinderella. About midway through veg, I mixed up a Chunky, and a Purp, but I had no idea who was who, so I just decided to wait it out and hopefully the Chunky would make itself known somehow. Purp C has big fat fan leaves just like the Chunkies, and nothing like the more slender leaves that Purp A & B has. Her growth is also spot on with the other Chunkies if you take a look at my last set of measurements. I believe the other plant that was involved in the mix up was actually a male that was previously culled.

Purp C will now become Chunky Cinderella X. She has also finally started flowering. Slow ass bitch :)

I did some sniffing of my ladies bushes today, and only a few of plants are actually making any stink. The DoubleBubble continues to smell amazing, and one of the Skunk Haze ladies is finally smelling a little bit. She's got a bit of a citrus smell, but its hard to tell its so faint. The Satori has a mild floral smell to her. Maybe one of these days, they'll start to stink up the joint.

The ladies are still fairly non-sticky. Not much resin production going on as of yet. Hopefully next week will change things.

All of my clones are doing well. Im quite pleased with my results so far as a first time cloner. Im going to take some clones of the Early Durbans once I make some room in my home made cloner.

Below is a list of ladies I have cloned so far:

All 3 Skunk Haze ladies.

Both Jack the Rippers

3rd Dimension

Cloud 9

Chunky B, Chunky D, Chunky H, Chunky X

Satori

Purp A & B

I have rooted clones of all 4 purple males I had outside. Those guys rooted quick. About 10 days with roots coming out of the bottom of my cloner. They seem to have rooted quicker than the rest. They are also much larger clones than the others. I just snipped the main tops off and used them as clones.

Anyone ever noticed larger clones rooting faster? They are also the healthiest as well.

In the next couple of days they will be placed in dixie cups and placed into an isolation chamber, and allowed space in the flower chamber for pollen collection.

Anyone wanting to read about the chamber, can visit here.

Im throwing in a few pics of my clones. They've been rearranged a fair amount in the tent, so you will have a hard time sorting them out from pic to pic, but you can see the growth in the last 7 days.

Id like to give some driving advice. Please do not attempt to jump a green light! What that means is you are sitting at a red light going to turn left, and there is a car opposite from you waiting to go straight. Some dumb ass decided to try that on me tonight right after the light turned green. The only problem was, I never had to stop for the red light. It had turned green shortly before I got to it, and I had barely slowed down. This dumb ass jumped the light, and I came within inches of plowing the fuck out of them. Thanks to my quick reflexes I was able to swerve left and avoid their dumb ass. Im glad there wasn't a car in that lane too, or else they would have been fucked as I would have probably just said fuck it and drilled the dumbass who cut me off. SUV's tend to run over small cars like this person had, so please dont drive stupid.

Thanks. My ladies are definitely overtaking my grow space. Im running out of room. I need to clear the smaller tent out of males soon so I can move clones into it too. Ive got another 8 that will be ready to be transplanted into dixie cups in a day or two. The purp male will probably be culled soon. He's a pollen machine, and Ive collected more pollen from him than the two Satori and Chunky Cindy males combined. That'll give me enough space to fit the other 8 new clones in there..for now.

If you want to get some Cindy, you could buy them from Gypsy Nirvana. He has some f2's he sells, but be prepared to pay out the ass. $15 per seed, non fem'd. They are from Bros Grimm original stock. I think Ill stick to the cheaper hybrids myself. Im wanting to grab a pack of Afropips Malawi99(Malawi Gold x C99). Maybe Ill give them a go on my next grow.

Well, I need to head to home depot to grab an oscillating fan to put in the tent. Summer is in full swings and temps are getting too hot for my liking even though the ladies aren't showing any ill signs of it.

I just had a bad ass experience. After I left from getting pizza, I was driving under an overpass and could see large downpours of water from the above road. If you walked under it, you'd probably get flattened by it. I drove my car through 5 of them suckers. Fun as hell. I even saw a guy there testing it to see if it was safe to get under. He stuck his foot in a few times, and decided it wasn't wise. heh.

I love thunderstorms.

I grabbed some pics today.

Skunk Haze:

IMG_0314.jpgIMG_0315.jpgIMG_0317.jpgIMG_0316.jpgIMG_0318.jpgIMG_0321.jpgIMG_0323.jpg

It would appear I have a magnesium deficiency manifesting itself in the Skunk Haze as well as a few of my Chunky Cindies.

The tap water here is classified as moderately hard, and should be supplying plenty of Magnesium. Ill check the ph tomorrow when I water and see if that could be the culprit. If PH is in check, I will flush the affected plants in case there is excessive Ca.

Now are some Chunky Cindie pics. They really show off the Mag def.

IMG_0308.jpgIMG_0306.jpgIMG_0310.jpgIMG_0324.jpg

Here is a shot of a random bagseed thats been flowering for maybe a week. It looked even worse than the Early Durbans when placed into the flowering tent, but it has really taken off now that its getting some shut eye.

RandomBagseed.jpg

Now some Group Shots

IMG_0311.jpgIMG_0312.jpgIMG_0313.jpgIMG_0319.jpgIMG_0322.jpg

Im really starting to tire of Summer. Temps in my tent are 90 at canopy. Thats the hygrometer you see hanging down in the last few pics. Ive got a washer tied to fishing wire suspended from the top of the tent. On the back of the hygrometer is a magnet.

I bought a circulating fan and placed it up on my table to help cool things a bit. It seems to have dropped it about 2 degrees, but temps kept fluctuating while I was in there. I cleaned the prefilter on my filter in case the dirt was affecting air flow, and I also cleaned the air filter for my AC as it was telling me it needed changed. I hope tomorrow Ill see at least a change even if only a couple degrees.

I have another tent venting hot exhaust from a 400w HPS directly into the room, but during spring, temps remained around 75-80 on most days even with it running. I have no way to vent it anywhere else, so Ill just have to suffer for now unless I get a clone tent set up with some Floros. CFLs produce too much heat to be an option.

Now, I wish I had bought a stronger AC unit. 5500btu isn't enough to cut it right now. But thankfully none of the ladies are showing heat stress, so I think Ill be okay.

Before we get to the pictures, Ive got too tell you about my night.

I got to see an old buddy today, that I hadn't seen in probably 4 years who owed me $30 from about 7 years ago. I got the money. He decides we should blaze up, so I drove us down to a movie theater and park on the edge, but not too far away to be suspicious and we smoke a blunt. Well we sit there 15 minutes or so chatting away, and Ive got to piss bad.

I get out of the car and go to whip it out, and see a damned cop walking in my direction. Holy Shit dude! He looked like he was inspecting cars for something suspicious. US! I jumped back in the damned car, threw on my seatbelt, told my buddy its a cop, and I drove us the fuck out of there. I quickly dropped him off down the road at his car and got myself back home.

I dont believe Ill be smoking in public anymore now.

Okay, onto the pics now.

I have 3 fully rooted purp male clones from outdoors. Ive already made their isolation chamber, and will get pics of them in it once they begin to get close to budding. For now, they are in the flowering tent until being close to budding.

Their roots grew fucking super fast. I think its only 12 days since being cut, with barely any rooting hormone applied. I ran out halfway through. I used the tops of the outdoor males as my clones, and that shit roots super fast and strong. Much better than a lower sideshoot taken from a Chunky Cindy, which be following the purp males.

IMG_0338.jpgIMG_0348.jpgIMG_0340.jpgIMG_0341.jpgIMG_0339.jpgIMG_0347.jpgIMG_0345.jpgIMG_0346.jpg

Huge fucking difference wouldn't you say! This clone is 2 or 3 days older than the purp males. What a difference auxin levels make.

Heres an excerpt from an email with a buddy. I mentioned my high temps to him, and he said this.

Be careful with temps over ~86'F, once temps exceed ~89'F "rubisco activase" gets depleted and RuBP activase is needed to convert inactive RuBP into active RuBP and in turn active RuBP is needed for photosynthesis; thus the less active RuBP your plants have the lower their rate of photosynthesis. The two causes of loss of RuBP activase is high heat (> ~89'F) and high Co2 (~ > 1,200 ppm). That is one major reason I set my Co2 meter to 1,000 ppm max, that and the Co2 saturation point for most higher plants (cannabis included) is ~1,000 ppm, thus anything over that is a waste and can hinder RuBP activase; the claim that cannabis Co2 is ideally 1,500 ppm is total bullshit.

Even if I were straight, Id still not know what exactly is going on in that. Ill have to google this RuBp stuff now to figure out what he was talking about. Sometimes he's too smart to easily communicate with. He's a virtual encyclopedia of information. Always a great person to have when you want to discuss stuff at a higher level than just discussing how Brawndo can give us amazing huge yields of rock hard buds, because of the Electrolytes in it, and how it makes plants grow!.

If you watch that youtube clip, I highly suggest you watch the PowerThirst one as well.

Come Chunky Cindies now. I tested the runoff on one of the ladies who has the worst mag def was 7.2, so there is no ph issues at hand. Im going to flush them tomorrow. Ive thought about grabbing some Clearex, but Ive read a few posts saying its nothing more than sugar water. No way Ill pay for that. Anyone here ever used it and seen it help a mag def?
