I'm leaving NY to drive down to Florida and spend a week there tomorrow night. If I see any spiders like that I'm going to put them in a mason jar and pop off the other 7 legs.

1st thing I thought...brn recluse, but I believe they r much darker. haven't lived in fl for years now, so I would go with that said grass spider if they know that is a fl breed. u know what i remember from fl, BIGGER then life Palmento bugs, I swear to this day, those damn things have minds of their own. I tried for hrs. to catch one in a loft I lived in. everytime i even attempted to get close to the wall to slam it, the damn thing would run back up, & there was no shadows it could see of me, it sensed or saw me damn 10 ft away I swear, lol.

6. I already got two getting it into the tupperware. I'm a bitch when it comes to spiders. My girl is STILL freaked out by it in the tupperware.

I looked up grass spider, to me it looks more like a wolf spider though.

Im pretty sure brown recluse is mostly west coast? California kind of stuff? I've seen black widows in the mid-atlantic. That looks like a common grass spider like they're saying..nothing dangerous. brown recluse and black widows are the only dangerous ones we have.. I've seen a wolf spider that was bigger than that, freaked me the fuck out.

edit - and i defintely see a cricket leg or something in that tupperware lmao im guessing its a spider leg because of the circumstances but it doesnt look like one?!

when i was a teenager...we had one of those palmento bugs in our house...i know we only had one because we caught it and put a dab of red fingernail polish on its back...whenever we saw one it had the dot on its back.we called him fred.he lived primarily in our laundry room...at night he always showed up in my bedroom..i think its because my house was where everyone came to toke...had parents that due to laziness...or lack of caring...let everyone come and chill to smoke at my place.we let him roam around..never tried to kill him.would sometime put him a jar and bake him out.it would just sit there and watch us play blitz on ps1....fred kicked ass

Didn't jump, but then again I caught him off guard. By the time he knew what was going on one of his leg was gone and the other was hanging on by a thread. If this big fucker would of jumped at me I would of screamed like a girl. Lol
