Investing in the future is not theft. She will become a productive member of society in a higher income bracket. Spread your bullshit somewhere else.
"Investing in the future" with someone else's money is still theft. Just because you don't want to hear it doesn't make it any less true. A new wardrobe and weed is hardly "investing". You have no idea whether she'll ever become a productive member of society or not. She's already said she's going to blow 25%. So far, all I see is leaching. If "investing in the future" is such a good idea, you should send her a check to match her grant. Hell, you should send us all a nice fat check.

Why do I suspect you're one of the forty plus percent who doesn't pay any taxes? Throughout my life, I've noticed those who preach the loudest about "sharing". never bring anything to the table.

yes, because teaching me fiscal responsibilty is so bad. 25% of it isnt very much, and truth be told, i need an adult wardrobe, because pulling off a little kid look will get me no where in life, either with men or professionally.
weed is important to everyone on this forum, and i already said it helps with my depression.

and btw, i fully intend to pay all taxes when i get a job, and it will pay itself back. its not like im a welfare leach. i just happen to be a poor kid who qualitfied for alot of grants

Gotta say. Wardrobe and all, whatever, but 'medicine' or not, if you're going to say you're using it 'responsibly', then don't spend any on weed.

shit its not like im going out and buying an ounce at a time! i rarely buy above 40 dollars worth of weed, and that can last me a week and a half.

you'd save more money if you bought in ounces. Hell, make friends and sell it, you'll break even, close to it, or make money.

Really if you're going to buy weed you should buy a good QP and smoke it over a few months. Limit your self to a gram a day.

I don't feign to contribute to this trainwreck of government, I take Pell Grants of $4000+ on a $900 community college tuition. I pass. With flying colors. But I'm using the Pell Grant system as my bitch. Do I make excuses for my spending like you are? No. But I wish you luck. :)

nothing in this life is free. im going to end up paying back everything, through the taxes ill get when i get a job, and even more so for when i get a job that requires the degree i am earning. Seriously, help out students, not welfare moms or people scamming the system. I go to school full time. 6,000 dollars for the year isnt much compared to how much other people take from the system and never give back. and i plan on giving back

as a grown man and a citizen of this country, you should pay your taxes. no excuses. its bullshit if you benefit from the system but never pay into it

You may be rationalizing a little, but you're young, so I'll won't harp on it. I do wish you good luck. Take care in picking what you choose to study, I see a lot of college grads flipping burgers or serving drinks.
