Ah well, I'm going to investigate this Subway thing. I've only eaten there 3 times.

Quiznos is pretty good too, I tried Jimmy Johns a few days ago for the first time and it tasted like something I could make better, was so blan and they were missing half the shit I would have put on my sub at Subway.

Quiznos no good I dont like the toasted bun
Jimmy Johns no good i dont like the buns
Subway is ok.

If i want a sub im going to look for a mom and pops style pizza joint.

There probably is some good unknown small businesses out there I'm sure tho.

One cheeseburger from work, or 12 cheeseburgers from mcdonalds, hmm, sometimes i'll just have to take that hit in quality :) In fact might pay em a visit today while waiting for me girls coach to arrive. Havn't had a subways in i think 5 years, there is one on the other side of the road, might have to tempt fate one last time.

true, cream rises to the top. Then big corporate cost reduction mandates have a distinct
effect the product and/or its presentation.

Supporting a family business appeals more to me than filling the pockets of corporate greed.
Mom has more at steak, share holders may not even eat at the chains.

this thread is so scary

here in my town the used to have 3 mcdonald's but two of them shut down because nobody likes md's (except for little kids); now all they have left is a tiny kiosk inside the mall.

Subway drives me up the wall sideways. Nothing hot. Their steak sub is a travesty. The local ones don't even have a soda fountain. But the thing that has Zeus fondling a thunderbolt and scowling is no ketchup. (long seconds of reverb) I go to fast food emporia to get something I could not easily replicate at home. Subway fails this criterion. cn

Italian BMT on Italian bread with lettuce, provolone, spinach, black olives, onions, black pepper, and mustard. I always get the same thing, soooo fucking delish.
