I ordered one of the walmart cards online... when it shows up I'll pop a hundred bucks on it and see what happens... worst case scenario I'll just use it for something else... was just hoping someone might have the info on here... oh well... ty for answering Darwin
No problem....guess we can chalk this up to "Homeland Security"...they need to know what we are purchasing and when....I often wonder who the real terrorists are...but that's for another thread. :?

Walmart prepaid card - check the user agreement.

It does say that the card may be used for foreign purchase, and there is a 2% fee charged for converting between currencies. This is good. However, Section 7 reads: "For security reasons, we may impose additional limits on the amount, number or type of card transactions at any time and without prior notice to you. We reserve the right to limit or block the use of the card in foreign countries due to fraud or security concerns or to comply with applicable law."

This card may or may not work according to the user agreement, so if anyone has success, please let us know. If it doesn't work, snail mailing cash or using your regular credit card are options.

Fuck green dot. I wanted to use one to buy from dhgate. On the back of the package it says 3% international fee... then under the activation phone number sticker it says valid in US only! Customer service assures me that when I get the permanent card in the mail with my name on it, it will work. Got it today, same digits on the card and same error code at dhgate. "This type of prepaid card can't support international online payments" Fuck a green dot.
