Sorry to hear about the OG-- agree that RP is usually good, as is DNA. Well at least you have one good surprise (the Boss Hogg) for the bad one. Checked out the pics of your grow and I must say they look nice! The Underdog looks great, too.

Yeah I have had pretty good luck with RP/DNA in the past, but I really expect much more than what I am looking at right now. It is what it is though. I guess I can't really expect every seed to be fire, but I usually get shit that looks better than that.

Agreed. I enjoy Lemon Skunk-- it had good tight nugs, lots of resin, and even smells great. I find most DNA gear is like that. My only reservation about LS is that the character of the high is not remarkable. It can be strong, but it almost feels like a generic high to me. Now Vortex, that makes me sit up and take notice. I'm personally not a bit fan of the smell and taste (though I do find them interesting), but damn, that strain can put me in a different world.

It's been a while since I posted, but now I am 1 week or so from harvest, and thought I would share where things are at.

Everything seems to be going fine, though being untrained, I have anything but an even canopy.

I grow in the basement, and in the past have had to walk up and down the stairs with each watering can full. That was ok when the girls were small, but now they are up to drinking 8 gallons every couple of days, and I got tired of the routine.

So I purchased a 15 gallon bin, a 250 gal/hr water pump, some hose and a wand waterer. What a difference! Now, instead of measuring out 3.5 ml. for each gallon, I measure out an ounce using a shot glass and dump it in the bin. Now a watering that used to take 45 minutes only takes 15. My only mistake was the pump, should have gone with a 450 gal/hr-- but I plan on upgrading soon.

So far, I am very happy with the Strawberry Banana Kush! It smells great and is a solid producer. Here are a couple of shots of her-- and she still has 10 days to go to harvest.

LIGHTS OUT-- It's Harvest time!

Well, at 64 days, the Jillybean has taken a bit longer to ripen than it has for me in the past (the last grow it was set by 60 days). The Strawberry Banana Kush is just about ready. Will take me several days to get around to trimming each of the 8 plants, so, by the time I get around to the Strawberry Banana, it should be ready to go to.

I have shut down the lights, and hope to have everything trimmed up by the end of the weekend. A couple days ago I watered at only 1/4 strength nutes (1.5 ml/gal Grow Big), to get the plants using their nutrient stores without starving them.

hey nightgazer ill be a few weeks behind you youre the only person ive seen harvest the strawberry bananna i cant wait to hear how it smokes my r/p skywalker is making me pretty happy but want to try some of their other stuff

Your lady is looking nice! Great to know someone else growing out this strain.

I will take a sample from the SB tonight to vape-- it should give me a general impression of the kind of ride this strain offers. I'll post how it goes.

hey nightgazer i havent got my beans yet the pic is my r/p skywalker im really interested in your results i will be growing in coco under a 250-400 switchable ballast in 2 gal smart pots the skywalker has been so good im really wanting something to go with it have grown a few sub-cool strains but lately been on a r/p-dna roll really pleased with the s/w from them

We have similarr styles (250 w veg/400w flower in pro mix) I just hand water in 5 gal bags. Going to switch to 3 gal smart pots soon.

I was considering switching to Blumats when I start with the smart pots.

Funny how there is always something new to try.

I'll check to see if you have a journal.
