Rockwool is by far the greatest bug attractant ever invented. Go with the little black pieces and clay.

ok first lesson then forget cubes net s , anymore advice welcome dont wana ruin a crop in change over, thatl break my heart , im gona use a shop bought nft system mainly becuase its low and height an issue, also no chance of flooding as all in one tray ,was hoping to get the 1m by 500mm and have 5 ladys in it, any advice on this

I am Hydroponic gardener from past tow years and as per my experience it is one of the best way of planting as plant gain more nutrition and faster growth in hydroponic and nft farming. So It is better option for such kind of gardening.

I can reccomend the Hydrogarden dual flow. Can be set as flood/drain or nft. Flood drain can be in a bed of hydoton or netpots due to the correx cover that comes with it. Comes complete with res, tray, pump and only measures about 10" high.

The people who use rockwool successfully are nerds, anything that's got to be pretreated is extreme. My biggest problem now is upping the PH before adding nutes, good point to know.

Yup clay pebbles (hydrotron) work the best, grow in dirt for 1mo, I use peat pots and break the bottom off set on some clay in a small tray, wait for roots to show/develop and 'GENTLY' move to clay after washing most of the dirt off, start feeding right away. Some take right away, some don't, be ready to wait.
