dont waste soil with a large container due to the fact autoflowers dont grow very big. try to keep in direct sun light. possibly start indoors and gradually introduce to the outdoor environment. they dont respond well to topping so avoid and dont use miracle gro, use quality soil and quality nutes and youll be ok

I plan on germinating them in a solo cup in my window seal. When the get too big for the cup I was going to put them straight in the ground. I have a spot where they would receive sunlight all day. Would that work?

Auto flowers can be problematic on transplants. If its going to be outside, start it outside. Put halved 2 liter bottle bottoms over them until they get up a few inches. (Open daily for air swap).
Do you have animals in the area? Deer field mice gophers moles etc? They all love to eat fresh new green tops.

Poke holes in the 2 liters about 10 well placed pencil size then you won't have to lift daily it also helps to keep warm.
Have a great grow.

use smart pots or use the idea with the cups, use some small CLFs to start em indoors (23W 5000K will work fine) start em like two weeks before you plan on planting them out side so you have strong small seedlings ready for the big out doors :D

plan it so you know all night frost is gone, with Auto`s I would plan it so I had the two best (most sunny) months ahead of me ..

spot need to receive atleast 5+ hrs of direct sun +8 is better ..

remove all small growth near the hole you dig, so it don't have to compete for space/light/food and maybe get bugs from other plants..

dig a hole a feet deep and wide (minimum) and fill it with some good fresh soil, and plant the small seedling ..

want to move it a step up, make a soil test and see if your soil have a perfect 6-7PH if not spread/mix in some Lime..

want to go a step future, look in to stuff to mix in to your soil and make a SS=super soil..
stuff like blood meal and Kelp, Mearl, and epsom Salt, Humus and worm casting/compost, bat guano aso aso.

google soil recipes ..

Auto flowers do what they do when they want. Get some bat or turkey droppings, worm castings and potash. Dig about a 3 gallon pot worth of dirt you are going to plant in and compost it or invest in some fox farm and create an outdoor planter box. Auto flowers will actually grow bigger outside and they all bush like crazy. Make sure they have plenty of space so there is lots of canopy penetration by the light (all sides). Outside of that soon as it starts to flower give it a nice dose of nitrogen and carbos. I just got 3.5oz per on 4 lowryder berry seeds a friend gave me 3 months ago

start em in May, in doors under some T5 or T8 tubes, veg em all of May and plant em out in June, let em Veg in June/July and they will begin to flower in august, let em finish in august and September and harvest before fist night frost or medio October/when done, in the UK or Norther Europe I would choose a Indica of some sort, our wether don't fit long time flowering Stavias that well, frost might hit before the Bud is ready ..

I have to grow them all outdoors. I'm germinating any plant, in a solo cup, in my window seal. Then, placing them in pot with soil & fertilizer. Then, putting the plant in the ground, (idk when I should put them in the ground).
