I dig your possitive attitude and your kindness towards everyone chiming in . I have to ask, "How is that carbon filter working out?"
any smells, I just gotta know I am about to start a 38" x 24" x 6 foot tall wardrobe cabinet

The filter is working pretty fair up till now.
I always walk into the room "nose first" and only get a dank wiff every now & again.
I never did wet the charcoal and someone told me it has to be moistened to activate the charcoal.?.?.?
It's easy enough to get to, I'll wet it tomorrow.

QUOTE="fishdeth, post: 10874983, member: 30649"]Finally found the right 1/2" hose to use with the pump.

I used the little barbed plastic connectors ant T's.

Put a plug in the end and zip tied it solidly on the right handle..

Loosly zip tied to the left handle.

That's all for tonite.View attachment 3250360View attachment 3250361 View attachment 3250363 View attachment 3250367 View attachment 3250368[/QUOTE]

I ordered the same 2 speed fan as you for the "quiet" effect, but I did order a 4" wide 21" long carbon filter from viagrow , home depot actually sales them for $54 dollars, I really really need it to be stealth and not smell, even with my wife's permission to put the grow box in the bedroom ( looks simular is size to your refridge).my filter run will look much like your but its going inside the box. I want to do my best to not hear it and not smell it. If I can do that even to within acceptable limits.
Can you hear your fan running with your carbon filter on the end of the duct?

That was a drain kit I bought at my local hydro store.
It came with different risers if you want to make the water level deeper if you want to.

Couple more shots.
You can add riser tubes to make the water level in the tray as deep as you need, then the screen goes on top.
1/2' tubing goes on the nipple underneath.
Comes with several nipple sized.

Nipple.....

Alright, let me see if I have this correct ( I think i do, lol) , the water pump pushes the water from the Res thru the drip tubes, the drip tube allow the water dribble thru the rocks into the upper tray and then gravity takes it down the blue drain and back into the Res? and if a person wanted they could have the pump just push the water up into the upper tank by raising the drain height, and just have it be a simple flood and drain set up if you chose too?

After this harvest I am going to be starting on the mods needed to convert to RDWC.
The Koolatron electric cooler will be my new res and I will add a tall tube on the drain to make my flood tray the space for the roots to really fan out.
3- 6" net pots will float on a piece of 2" thick foam board.

Here's where I saw the version I will build:

This should be very interesting !
Stay Tuned !

where I live its so cold in the winter I am acutally going to use a fish tank heater to make sure my nute tank stays around 65-70 degrees, If I do a run here in the summer, no heating or cooling will be require, I get the idea you live someplace where its much warmer with palm trees,, I kinda miss those palm trees
