Looks great.... Fridges work well.... Id use expanded clay instead of rockwool... I find more luck with it.... I also left the condenser in place on a temp controller to help with over heating

I only used the rock wool for germination and partial veg in the AeroGarden.
When I transplanted, I picked all the wool from around the stem before putting them in the Growstone.

The fridge was a dead one, hence the $20 price.
The dealer was keeping it around for parts/pieces.

Do you have a fridge thread? pics? interested....

So far ive built and sold 22 boxes.... Only one fridge...damn heavy machine.... Have u considered c02 enhancements as u have proper containment for it?

Trimmed up a bit this evening.
This is mostly from underneath.
I took out almost that much this morning from above.
Much better light penetration.
I did a bunch back when they were in the AeroGarden and had forgotten how much it really made things take off and added new budsites.

Yea yea... more stinkin pics.
I have been doing a LOT of reading on the controversial subject of defoliation.
I noticed that the back row had some BIG fans shading a BUNCH of lower stuff.
So... snip snip.
I took off all the big fans except the few at the very top surrounding the bud.
Just a little experiment to see if I get the same results I have been seeing in my research.
Supposedly 4-5 days should show significant results.
We shall see !

Defoliation in the vein of just picking and plucking the leafs [your main drive of photosynthesis and hence, food]; just because you think buds will swell into that place, is the dumbest concept ever, it basically goes against basic tenets of plant ecology.....photosynthesis and leaf morphology....

Now, if we talk about defoliating to increase the auxin uptake into apical meristem's [budsites in the crotch] , then yes, definitely, there is some sound reasoning to different methods of defoliating, which I think you are onto, especially for tight canopies.
I used to work in range management in the Great Basin, a lot of plants would thrive where some of the big ungulates would just nibble around the very edges of the branches where plants were forming their budsites, the nibbling was essentially FIM'ing and defoliating. Some species absolutely thrive this way......:peace:

Lookin top notch as always!

Looks good, definitely within boundaries. Looks like you pulled all the larf off. Get all the goodies into the big budsites [Apical meristems]

I am not anti-defolation by the way. I think that for any light source you grow under and you are developing a horizontal canopy, that you will need to trim some of it back at some point to really give all the buds a chance not just the top cola's.

In the past, helping a fellow patient get their grow up and off the ground, was what ruined it for me. I couldn't talk them into a scrog even though, we had [2x] 1000k HPS w/ Eye Hortilux's. So in the end, the lights were dangled over 2 feet above most plants. They grew very wispy, run after run. Dude would literally pick handfuls and handfuls of leaves every morning he watered. He did this because the lower 3/4's of the plant wasn't really getting enough light and he was theorizing that ripping away all of his food making products, was going to fatten his bud sites. But physically light was too far away from the plants.....He Literally picked clean 4 foot plants, run after run and continually disregarded my advice. Oh well...alway's wispy, used to call this rabbit bud, because it grew too fast :)

A couple pics from down under.
Pretty good light penetration.
Could be better, but could be worse.
I am leary of total stripping, but I want to get the light down in there.

Had to tie some of the stretchers right by the door to the PVC SCROG frame, and now I have buds taking up space in the recesses of the door.
Again, this spreads the tall tops out and more light is penetrating.
