Fridge drying anyone?

Does anyone fridge dry their harvest? I know it's been talked about a few times but I haven't really been able to find someone who actually does it and whether or not it works. A guy I read up on called it low and slow method and said it was the smoothest smoke he's had. I have a mini fridge that is just sitting here empty figured I'd see if anyone has experience?

I hang dry the whole plant for about 7 days at 55% RH and 55°f until the buds get crusty on the outside. Then I trim and put them in Glad XXL storage containers lined with wax paper and turn the buds several times a day putting the lid on and off until the buds get below 70% rh for 24hrs. Then put in glass jars in the fridge at 45°f and let cure for two months keeping an eye on the RH. For long term storage get a jar vacuum sealer. My buds stay fresh and Terpy for well over a year
