Arvo everyone
So last week after reading the stickys and gaining a basic understanding of the soil food web & organics in general, (noob here haha) i hit the town in search of supersoil ingedients. being in Aus, not everything is readily available.
Mixed up 2cuft following the templates here particularly rastaboys
Equal part coco coir, locally made composted humus & fresh worm castings from a farm
Then added
Dolomite lime 2 cups
3 cups kelp & manure pellets
2 cups npk 4.3.3 chicken manure pellets
2 cups mineral rock dust
1 cup blood & bone meal
So I put this mix in a plastic tote (non airtight) and its been sitting for a week (tossed twice to aerate, smells nice)
Today i did a slurry soil test to check where the ph is at (just curious) as ive read that ph isnt of great concern and it came out 9.
should i be concerned about this? Should i add anything more to this mix to lower ph? Am i missing anything in general?
Cheers for help in advance
