Fresh frozen dry ice hash to bho questions.

Hey what's going on everyone. Got a couple questions on the bho process. Yes I know the fundamentals yes I've done this many times before...

I'm just wondering if anyone else has taken fresh frozen nugs and used dry ice and a 160 micron bag to make dry ice then turn that into bho ?

At the last of this year's season I did this and got some pretty good banana og live resin as I call it. Tho I did this using 220 micron bags. And got a bit of green.

I'm wondering if anyone has experimented and done both fresh frozen and then dry doing dry ice hash then bho...

I feel that running the material first with dry ice helps keep the chlorophyll out of the final product.... and also the yields are much bigger lol.

What is everyone's thoughts on this ? Thanks everyone.

You will get channeling in your blasting tube when you use kief.

Mix the kief with trim then pack tubes, about the best way

Yes we've run bubble hash and kif in columns by itself and mixed as DT notes. Mixed up to a 36" column, from 1 1/2 to 4" in diameter.

For straight kif, we used a short 12" column on a Mk III, IV, or V Terpenator, with a shower head in the top to inject over the whole surface. LPG mixture was injected at -30C. Yield was about 70% depending on the quality of the kif. Leave us not forget that the trichome stems are cellulose, and the caps are coated with a wax shell.

I haven't tried directly extracting dry ice kif. I have cleaned up Rosin extracts hot pressed from both cured and fresh frozen kif, that had been tumbled with dry ice.

When I winterized them, I found that both processes extracted way more plant waxes than I imagined, for a bit forgetting about what the trichome cap is made from it. I've never tried extracting full melt trichome heads only, to see what the yields were.
