Freezer Grow (Need Help)

Im considering turning this chest freezer into a grow box. Its very tall and spacious compared to any fridge grow ive seen. But i hardly have any idea how to do this besides looking at peoples dresser grows on here. Any tips help would be appreciated. And the other thing im wondering is if i can put this mufucker on its side? Its heavy as hell but im sure gutting it of all that freezer shit should cut the weight down.

Other questions:

What am i supposed to line it with? Mylar? Foil?

How am i supposed to regulate temperature?

Your questions are basic and pretty much apply to any enclosed grow.
No reason not to turn it on it's side.. it's not gonna be a freezer anymore, just a box.
Line it with mylar. (foil? hell no)
to regulate temps you gotta cut some holes and use some fans.. Thats just how ventilation works.

You could also give more info.. what kinda lights you plan to use (heat), where you plan to have it, what the temps might be where you plan to have it.

How would you stick the mylar on the inside? And if i had the money i wouldnt have to use cfls but it looks like im gonn' have to. House stays around 70 which isnt warm enough for the plants correct?

hey man, im no pro but... you can tape mylar up, seems to be most common, just get it on the walls.. cfls work for some gotta keep them close and spread around the plant as it grows, much diff than a HID grow.. and 70 is a bit cool but regardless of what people say, cfls put off heat, nowhere near what HPS does but they will warm and area 5 degrees or so when they are on more or less obviously on the number of cfls.. 80 is about perfect but from what I see +/- 5 degrees wont effect the plants TOO much.... mine get down to 70 and up to 85.. as I said im no pro but my plants do grow. (since no one else is responding)

mylar can be taped. i use white "duck" brand duct tape.
put a fan or two on one side (whether you stand it up or not) and then have a passive vent on the other side.
70 is good for night temps (lights out) get enough CFL in there and itll get warm.

if you gut the freezer then you can use the step on the inside where the tank is situated underneath for situating your inlet fans and also the exhaust fan just remember to run a pipe so that the heat etc is sucked from the top of the freezer and not the bottom. you do not need to us mylar as you can just paint the inside with a flat white paint just as good. Then fit your lights in the lid of the freezer. Also if you put the freezer on its side then you would lose height turn it on its end.
