Freezeland?

Anyone familiar with a strain that was 'Friesland' or ('Freezeland') crossed with (???) that would have been around and used for outdoor grows (looking at you Northwestern Ontario) codenamed 'The Rose' ... Still never really got the facts on what my buddy had back then (mid 2000's). He called it 'The Rose' he seemed to think it might be a cross, with almost certainty that it was Frxxxxland(?) crossed with maybe AK47, anyway if anyone knows that would be huge. It was a great outdoor performer. He had also mentioned that it could be a cross (Powerline?) or (Hydroline?) rumors that it was a cross that had come out of perhaps the Quebec biker scene. The Rose. It was amazing, definitely a sativa/indica hybrid. We crossed it in the end with Blueberry, hence my username here. ANY info would be greatly appreciated!!

thnx,

Yeah, most strains were created either using the 2nd method, strains like Northern lights, skunk, cindy99, or they were found by accident AKA bag seed, like Chem, and Bubba.
I'm not brave enough to try true landraces, all the wonderful strains we have today started from landraces like that. I'm just not willing to put the time in, I only grow six legal outdoor plants a year, so having one or two plants that don't produce or are unusable is too risky for me. I've looked at that breeder though, very interesting, I have nothing but respect for landraces.
I tend to go with old school '80s and '90's strains. I don't really like modern strains, but landraces are too risky for me.

Ak bean brains had a freeze land. He’s up In Alaska. If I recall correctly I think it’s a sativa bred to flower quickly for the short seasons up there

I obviously got it wrong that it was a sativa Don’t know why I thought that.

I am digging the reg seeds I got so far. from That link I posted. Seeds came quick, I got 15 for like $35 plan is to simply grow them to acclimatize them to my specific region. i.e my backyard. I also received 15 free seeds ( 17 actual of a Landrace.) and 6 Afgan (all free). Since I had/have time before this summer, I decided to pop one of all three and cross them (Friese Land x Kumaoni), (Kumaoni x Afgan), (Kumaonix x White Banner I made a bunch of Fem seeds with.) I still have 14 FrieseLand To make seeds with and from there I can make a Friese version of whatever I run. I mean you can go with Beans, I have heard mixed reviews, or for $35 bucks have endless fun and make your owns. I also in the summer have a blueberry x Cindy 99 ( Quick Blueberry ) to cross with this Fries, know to be fast as it is. So far it is, I am 2 weeks in budding with the one. This is my next never heard of strain for next year's crosses, I think. Two of my White Banners were so sweet, I hope their seeds turn out stable. I forced herm, but I have dry sts chem for some Tripple G ( girl scout x gorilla ) and Colombian Jack. I hope It goes well.

I've been curious about Oregon Green Seed for a while now. Anybody have experience with them?
I grew Oregon Green Seed's now out of stock Maxwell's Silver Hammer out doors in OKlahoma last year. Nice 10 ft plant, cross between Super Silver Haze, Sour Diesel, Amnesia Haze, and Hash Plant. It finished in mid Sept. and was 19% thc. Just as advertised! A friend grew the Dream Lotus variation of OGS' Blue Dream indoors and got it to 28%. Great customer service and quality genetics! I bought 12 of her strains.

M39 is basic 5 (Northern lights 5) x skunk 1...originally sold by supersativaseedclub. as was Friesland indica M33 they were on the same page of the SSSC catalogue. Friesland indica M33 is still available as an hierloom indica inbred line from Kwik seeds or the real seed company. I have beans ordered 1 month ago up and at them now. 100% germ.
FREEZEland is Friesland m33 x pluton....it's quebec bastard freeze.
