Just got on the net and checked FF's site. Bushdoc was not in their product list. I then read on a thread from another pot site it has been removed from the US as of 3/13/07. They did say however (the thread), it was still available in Canada. I don't Know If this is correct or not. GL HH

Usually this is not a problem, but I let a buddy watch my room over Halloween and he totally sabotaged my grow! Not only did he “forget” to water enough to maintain the turgor pressure in my plants, but I guess he “forgot” how to measure nutes and overdosed them to the point of burning! The soil got so crusty it wouldn’t take up water, and they started to fry! In my research I found that Yucca is a good organic wetting agent in this case and is actually used as a flushing agent as well, so I picked up Foxfarm’s Sledgehammer which is Yucca based. It’s only been a month, but the water movement in the soil is way more quick and smooth than when it was dry and shrunk into the pot. They seem to be feeding better now and the new growth has no abnormalities, totally rescued me! I'm all about Sledgehammer...

What a crazy old thread......I also just picked up all 3 new FF products. FF finally has something new to offer us loyal fans. I'm stoked to try them all out. I've been using the Kanga Roots on my clones and they are super happy. Soon here I'm going to start flushing the latest crop but I can't figure out how much Sledge Hammer to use. Is it 1/2tsp/gallon or 2tsp/gallon? Hey Griz, How much did you use for your application?

I'm in soil, so 2tsp/gallon was the ratio. Twice as much water as a regular watering. I saw new growth the next day, so I'm pretty damn stoked. It has a frothy look to it which indicates strong surfactant qualities. What do you think about using it as a foliar surfactant?

again, gonna wake up an old thread...

ah surfactant, great terminology. glad i went to chem class that day hahaha

i plan on getting some sledgehammer today, if they have it. otherwise ill probably get a different flush product.

one of my plants has ~12 days left, i plan to let the soil dry out before chopping.

my question is, should i just use it once and plain water up until harvest? or use it every watering til harvest?

Those agents are pretty useless IMO, they are typically sugar based (Clearex). Your best off flushing with a very mild nutrient solution. This will actually draw more nutes from the medium then flushing with pure water.

ive been using microbe brew, kangaroots, and sledgehammer for 8 months now. I dont see any real difference and once they run out im going without them and just growing organic with super soil.. id listen to the guy above me. hope this helps a little
