foxfarm confusion +rep given

i hear so much good things about foxfarm but i also hear about people burning there plants and all sorts of formulas. my ? is can i just go by what the bottle says but a little more mild and be ok ? im growing in soil and the only water measurement i do is ph with the drops its always 6.0 then add nutes to it. i dont measure ppm and dont know how or want to if i dont have to.

Does ur ph kit have the ph up and ph down? I might have the same one, from general hydro? Anyway, All u gotta do is make sure and check the ph AFTER u mix the food with the water. if u don't like all the measuring, don't worry it's not THAT easy to screw up. If ur using organic nutes, which i assume u are from the ff title, it's hard to burn ur plants, but def. start out with about 1/4 strength and work ur way up, it doesn't have to be exact.

You should PH after you mix your nutes. Most nutes have buffers to bring PH in range without further assistance. If you ph then add nutes your PH will be off. Go by the direction and start with 1/4 to 1/2 strength.

im usin gh right now and want to use ff if i feel safe about it.and im usin the drops that go by color so if i add nutes will the drops still work cause the nutes change the color of the water

Hydro or soil? A ph meter is inexpensive and a must for growers of all kinds. Try and pick one up ASAP.

I got the same ph kit it works fine. And unless u get a GOOD electronic tester they all read around 7, all the time, tried it.

yea but im almost postive if using ff u dont have to readjust the ph since its organic i never did when i used ff i always adjusted the water then added nutes and didnt have a problem but i have read that non organic nutes u have to adjust the water since they do have the ph buffer or something like that

Guys, correct me if I'm wrong but FF nutes are NOT organic EXCEPT for one of their products which is Big Bloom.

use only 1/4 strength on the grow big that can burn your plants,big bloom says it wont burn any plants so the 2 tbs should be good.my ph is 7.5 out the tap after i mix 2 tbs bb, 1/2 tsp of grow big,1tsp hydroguard,2tsp sensizyme,1.2 ml roots put my ph at 6.6 not needing to adjust at all

i use ff with hard water from tap that i never leave out and never ph before watering..i dont have problems
