Fox farms trio

I'm using the fox farms trio and I have a question, I know it came with their nutrient schedule but It says to start using it on seedlings and I've been told not to use it on seedlings, so what's the right way to do it? I waited 18 days to start using it on my first 3-4 plants, and now I have 3 more plants that are roughly 10-14 days old, can I start using it on them as well? They are still really small like 1-2 inches... A
should I start them out slow then once I get them to the recommended full seedling dose (I think it's 1 table?spoon per gallon), should i then start with FF's recommended dosing schedule? Or is their schedule just too strong all together?

Start with a 1/8 to 1/4 dilution and see how they do. If they do well you can increase the dilution by 1/4 weekly as they grow until you get to full strength. Happy growing!

I started on fox farms trios and moved to Jacks Classic.
Fox farms is pretty solid and yes you should give a small solution of fertilizer now. Assuming you're new to this, you should learn to read your plants as plants don't work on a bottle's schedule. A good idea would be to pick up a book like marijuana inside growers guide which will help ya understand almost everything to do with growing cannabis.it is an oldie but a complete read about the plant we love.

Happy growing and one note on FF is less is more and be sure to use a bit of grow bug during flowing as tiger bloom is a bit lacking.

There Feeding schedule isn't hot.
They wouldn't sell any nutrients if they were burning everyone's plant's.

IMO-people use soil with nutrients allready in it. On top of that they feed the seedling with a nutrient solution to soon. The little seedling can't take it, and it burns.

In soil I start feeding @3weeks from germination at 1/2 strength for the first feeding. Only feeding once per week in soil. That's where I deviate from what FF wants you to do.
I know people that only use 1/2 strength nutrients doesn't matter what line it is. And I know people that use full strength.
1/2 strength your gonna get less of a yield, but it's safer.
If your new just use 1/2 strength the entire grow, next grow try full strength.
I would also recommend getting the FF "Sledge Hammer" it's designed to flush the salts from the soil. Follow the schedule for the "Sledge Hammer" When the schedule tells you to flush, flush.

And Look at your Leaves. If there dark green there getting to much nitrogen, if there a pale green there not getting enough nitrogen.

Well said.. It all depends on the soil that your plants are in. If it is the FF Ocean Forest, then ya your soil is hot and don't want to feed for the first few weeks

You can always play it safe with a tablespoon per gallon of Big Bloom on seedlings. It is mostly micro, castings, and bat guano. Works well as a foliar spray as well. The Grow Big and Tiger Bloom are more mineral based than the Big Bloom, so there is a lot less of a chance of burning with it. Good luck! -Cheif
