Fox Farm nutes in coco - Soil or Hydro formula?

I am starting my first grow and am using coco medium and Fox Farm Hydro nutes on the way. I ordered this product assuming that coco does not provide any nutrients and seems logical to go this route. I wanted to know if anyone has done it this way or should I get the soil ferts for the coco medium? Thanks for the help.

First grow? Or first grow with coco coir?
You’d use hydro nutes, but rinse the coco coir first before planting.
Don’t forget the CalMag

First grow ever. Been in youtube university and just picked a grow method. CalMag is something I put on my list to pick up this morning, your reminder affirmed my intuitions. I'll be sure to rinse. Thanks!

Never immediately follow recommended feedings as the recommendation is almost always the most a plant can take. All depends on the strain and their resilience.
I start my Nutes 1/3 even 1/4 the strength to avoid nute burn.
However growing in soil can be a lot easier for a beginner grower. Starting with a super soil like Fox Farms Ocean Forest, or Fox Farms Happy Frog is a good idea. These mediums already have tons of nutrients that your plant can feed on.
