Found a Seed

Hi All,

Well, as you can see it seems to be doing ok, whatever it is. So, anybody got any clues as to what it could be.

Friend gave me a few seeds to play with and got one to take on life so to speak.

Used good soil, water it to keep it semi-moist, use 20-20-20 and 15-30-15 on and off. Other then that, this is what she is starting to show.

In fact I took 4 shoots off the bottom before she entered into the flowering stage which are doing nicely so far. All outdoors and when needed bring them in for a little warmth and artificial light on those soggy days. It can get a little chilly this time of year so I toook a little extra care to bring them in for a little luv.

So, guess away and if any tips as to what I can do now to better the outcome-please do jump in

It's looking pretty good. Don't keep your soil moist. This is a big no no. Let the top 2-3 inches dry before watering again. It is impossible to tell strain just by looking. Best of luck and welcom to RIU my freind.

Thanks Doc, I feel in good hands now...lol
I do not let the top stay soaked that's for sure but I am using a root feeder as you can see. The blue glass blub holds a weak solution of 15-30-15 and is inserted a little over half way down. The water blub is a slow drip and the soil is a good pro-mix and I do mist the leaves with a 1% solution under and top. The run off is always let dripped out as well so as to not ever be sitting in water. and once in a while a give it a good watering with a 20-20-20 solution and once every two weeks a mild flush.

Not bad for a first time grow. By the looks, how much time would you feel before I could reap the rewards.

i just wanna throw a lil input inthere for ya..

since u are in flowering i have to say make sure u watch ur time cycle for light and one more important thing u might run into

u say u take them inside sometimes for artificial light... during flowering especially that could freak the plant out an cause them to go into shock so i'd just be careful within doing that .. other than that looks beautiful happy growing

Thanky thanky, and it only comes in when the sun is a no show and give the same amount of light that they would have at this time of the year. I just mde a weenie greenhouse for the little bro's that got snipped off and are looking preety fine so far.

One seed and if it turns out well it'll save me a hoot load of cash...snicker...i think...lol

Just read that even at this stage I could snip off another couple of siblings, is that true and if so, what would I cut at this stage. I snipped off at the bottom prior to the flowering not starting about 2 weeks back and gave 4 wonderful babies so far, but the season up north is getting shorter so these may end up coming in for the final caring.

It's looking really good and healthy. It's pretty much impossible to tell the strain by looking at it. There are so many strains that have similar traits. Even by smoking, it will be hard to be certain what it is. Keep up the good work.

Here's a few more shots and would like to know what should I be doing at this point.

So far, when I see the big broad leaves doing a little turn in color, I snip them off at the node being careful to not damage the budding fruits.

From these shots we can see it looks loaded with healthy diamond dust

I made a mix of 30-30-60 using pond water, added a little molassass and a little enriched organic algae. I give it 1oz shots to the outside rim of the potter followed by one gallon of pond water letting it flow through the potter with any excess bleeding out leaving the soil moist, but not flooded.(The pond water is organic filtered and contains of course fishies - koi's to be exact. Thus the excess food waste, fish sht and micro nutrients seem to be very welcomed by this unknown varient)

Hmmm, maybe call it "King Koi" lol

Oh, also managed to take 4 snips 3 weeks ago before flower stage started and another larger snip 2 weeks ago when flowering began. Their doing healthy as well, little overfed I think as it shows by the burning on the larger leaves on the 4 early snips. Had added a few banana peals to their soil mix this time and it seems to have really boosted growth but maybe just a little too much feeding.

Of course all this is an experiment for me and as we have tried the clippings, rather harsh by todays standards it brought me back to the early 70's when weed contained everything and buds were the gold found in the mix at times where an oz cost me a mere 15-20 bucks. Today...lol some of u mugs are driving diamond encrusted wheels..lol
