no you wouldn't, as a mod all you can do is delete the inappropriate posts, make stickys and editing. thats it. otherwise its passing things up to admin so HE can ban or restrict. its more like babysitting and cleaning house. perfect for those of us with gnarly ocd.
 
hell yeah i wouldnt mind just cleaning house and deleting posts but there are other issues. why not pass the responsibilities to the mods? suck you guys dont get those powers... the site admin should do some house cleaning more often if this is the case
 
there are a few global mods, but only like 3 or 4, its like that because there were a few who had way too much power and they abused the hell out of it. fdd used to hand out infractions and ban people if he felt you said something that kinda rubbed him the wrong way. and there were a few, others like that. then even the last round thats why they made so many, because potroast knew it would be only a matter of time until a few mods would bully a few people needlessly, im can think of a few who lost their seat from that. just keep your nose clean, your already an active member, ive been here since 08 and you have 100 more posts than me... when the next round goes through let potroast know.
 
cool cool, another thing i cant post pics right now what up with that? my post count is high... what can i say? like to talk but i hey earned almost 100% of my rep points from advice, i have been trying to be more of a peace maker too. stopped fucking with nuglet starting to rub me the wrong way is right, he needs to stop crying about his rep. they delete all that shit and give him another 3 day ban if he keeps at it. after all this complaining he is in the wrong he could have been way more civil about it. yeah but i get what your saying.
 
another thing i should point out i have been here 4 years i had another profile but.... i didn't like the closeness it had to other names and such and i didnt know half (well probably a 1/8) of the things i know now.
 
I would love a shot at Spirituality & Sexuality & Philosophy. I spend most of my time there and try to keep a nice balanced look at everything, without judging or degrading people especially when there are disagreements. I'm extremely open minded and love thought provoking conversation.

However I am brand new to this forum so I expect nothing :P

Are you a theist? It might be nice to get a rational counter opinion to my non belief in the spirituality section

Sadly no, I'm a Nihilistic Agnostic. I believe there could be a god but we have no ability of being sure of anything, and thus, existence is without meaning and we should progress on as though there were no god for now. I think those interested in pursuing the idea of god should be allowed to but given no special privilege above their fellow man. We all have our own ways of seeking the meaning in life. I think we should compare them with each other, explain our thoughts and feelings as best as we can, and avoid conflict because of it. It should be accepted as an unknown that we are in pursuit of understanding. Much like any scientific theory. I don't like dealing in absolutes.
 
The more and more I see this forum the more appealing this position sounds. Sadly though the reality is I don't know the ins and out of this place, nor have been here long enough or gained the respect of the people to be considered qualified.

That said I don't think I have the time in the day to mod/admin another forum. Guess I'll be scuttling back to my manga forum hideout.
 
Edit: I wouldn't mind adding and changing some of the forums setup however. E.g being able to see who is viewing each thread listed at the bottom of the screen.
 
Not to mention adding irc chat to the top bar. Only due to live chat being run by flash meaning a good portion of members might not be able to use it.

I spend most of my time in that section these days since I'm not growing anything at the moment. But more importantly, even though I don't have a belief in anything supernatural, I feel connected to reality more than ever, more than I ever did believing in anything one would traditionally consider 'spiritual'. I didn't feel there was a reasonable enough theist up for the job, not one who seemed interested at the time at least. And I consider myself reasonably qualified to discuss the things usually discussed in that section, I've spent a considerable amount of time thinking about my positions, 7 years actively, at least a decade of being curious.

and was thinking that i'd make a very good and sexy MOD and other users on this "best best bestest site in the world ever" have been saying the same thing and POTPIMP AS SAID HE GIVES ME HIS VOTE.......... So in light of all this and all the BROWN TONGUING im doing (yak its not nice) i think you should make me a dam sexy mod please please please.
