It looks well ready what is it that tells you it isn't? All pistols are red now and trichomea are around 5p percent amber.. the pictures are a few days old so really should of took some more today. From what I've read up once there turning amber it's degrading so I'm not sure why people are saying there not done. Also this is an 8 week strain with 4 600 watt hps lights. Flowering count from day of first pistols so now they are on give or take a week about week 10/11. Thanks for all your help guys but I think they have to come down now.
Your pistils aren't even close to all brown/orange. Even a few days old pictures they aren't even close to ready. Doesn't matter what week of flower they are on, they aren't done.

The trichs you posted pictures of appear to be on sugar leaves. What you want is to look at the actual calyx for the amber, if that’s how you wanna judge it.

Either way, I agree with the others, you still have a bit more time to go. Not too long, but it’s very much so worth it.

As for pistils, see the photo (your photo). That’s just a small portion of a plant, and not everything is even circled. Just wanted to show you what we’re talkin about.

Stop worrying about it being an 8 week strain. Breeders times are bullshit. They say it's 8 weeks because they know people want the quickest harvest. If they told you the truth and said 10-11 weeks you'd buy something from someone else that was lying and claiming 8 weeks. They don't care if you harvest early. They just want your money.

No such thing as an 8 week strain! :p

I got a strain that I can harvest anywhere between 8 weeks and 10. Really just depends on the terps and weight I want to get out of it. In many ways I actually prefer smoking the 8-week chop of that strain over the 10-week chop.
Lol I was just joking.

Honestly I think many growers have shifted to becoming hyper-focused on ensuring that their buds are completely ripe, sometime to a point where they become over-ripe. I agree that the OP's plants look to need another week, but personally I don't let a couple of white pistols stop me from chopping the plants, if the buds seem otherwise ripe. I actually prefer weed chopped a bit too early to chopped a bit too late. But in fairness I like my bananas not overly ripe either.

Lol I prolly let mine get a lil over done to make sure they're done. I'm flowering a strain right now that my buddy gave me a clone of. It's week 6.5. He says to chop after 8 weeks. I ain't buying it. Ima let it go longer.

Yeah, years ago my buddy gave me a cut of J1, and told me it was a 55-day cut. I thought he was crazy, but listened to him for the first run of it, because he had grown it for years, and it came out great. The next run of it, I thought I'd show him better and let it go an extra week. It was ok after that extra week and did gain a bit of yield, but it wasn't better, and frankly it lost some of it's luster in both the high and the terps department, after going that extra week. I always chopped that cut at around 56-days after that. I did lose the cut, but heard that it's still floating around the bay area.
