Just a quick note to let you all know of my oops, I figure by the time I get it fixed be about $200 all for lack of tightening up a light bulb. Generally a practice done without thinking when I clean bulbs and reflectors. Company occupied too much time this week so maintenance was the area that started out hurting and now its my wallet.

I was amazed at the amount of intense heat that was caused by this. The white brass threads on the bulb as well as the brass socket were melted and burned to a little pile of white ash.

And it also prompted me to double up on the smoke alarms.

On that line, How many have an extinguisher in thier grow room ? Mine does, think I'll get another.

T-5's bro.

This is how mine looks for veg. I use red's for flowering. You can pinpoint the light range needed for cannabis (well photosynthesis). Also, with these you can isolate and cut any green/yellow light being wasted like with HID's.

But my main reason for expressing this to you is the lack of heat they create. Also, these units plug into sockets and operate safer than HID's with ballasts. If you continue to use HID's place a fan blowing on the bulb to prevent it from building up so much heat.

I have an extinguisher outside of the room with easy access, also have another in the kitchen that can be grabbed on
the way to the area.

Wise investments.
