Forever Vegging?

I started growing in the Caribbean this week and was wondering if MJ is in veg, mode until the light is 12/12(Sep 28, 2009), or does it automatically flower before that. And is it possible to veg. forever if you put MJ under constant light?

Another thing, I'm growing in a very dry place that hardly rains. I was thinking of putting pieces of paper towel or tissues in the bottom of the hole so in retains water for a while. I might also invent an auto drip system.what do you think?

plants dont leave veg until 12/12 unless they are autoflowering from what i know but im no expert

once you hit 12/12 it will start to flower, and don't put paper towels or tissue, it might cause mold.

the average weed plant will stay in veg if it is left under constant light the exceptions are weird genetics and of course auto flowering plants. also when growing outdoors different plants will begin flowering at different times of the season, some plants will show their sex as early as when the days start to get noticibly shorter, if getting seeds from a seed bank they usually tell you the estimated flowering months based on the strain. the average plant will begin flowering outdoors when they feel winter coming on which includes temps dropping and daylight time getting shorter

thanks for you're opinions. the plants are from baggie seeds. Then whats the deal with auto flowering plants, and can MJ really veg. forever? why would it cause mold? I doubt putting paper towels will cause mold it's a very dry place, although it might over water the plants.

Like what?, this is just an idea I had, but if you have a better way to keep the soil moist please help. Any info. is good.

this is the basis for the idea, since i can't get any agricultural high tech stuff

you can put perlite at the bottom of your pot cuz perlite can retain water pretty well way better then a paper towel that will eventually get soggy and fall apart lol
