Very good looking..
I kept them and ran them in my other room. They did bust and pollenate my existing run which kind of pisses me off but no sense being angry about something I cannot change. Just wasted energy. Thanks for the feedback. So the 3 that showed balls early did you keep them?
Hows the smell on the girl pictured?
I am glad you found what you were looking for, but that seems like a high number of he-shes to deal with while finding the one. Were they 10 or 15 seeds per pack?About day 50 since showing sex. ~ 65 since flip.
Getting the chop today. Out of 2 packs, I have found one outstanding plant, one full blown hermie, 3 plants that showed balls in early flower. Several other mediocre plants. Happy with the one I got!!! Good job Cabin fever.
I was thinking the same thing, but if kgp says it's a perfect example thus far of OG in bean so far, that's quite a feat I'd say.I am glad you found what you were looking for, but that seems like a high number of he-shes to deal with while finding the one. Were they 10 or 15 seeds per pack?
I was pretty tempted by Cabin Fever genetics after you started this thread, especially this strain as I love the Fire OG I currently have. But hearing about nanners has changed my mind. Same reason I won't spend a penny on CC genetics, fire to be found or not. Just my two cents.
Cheers on your treasure hunt! She is definitely a pretty girl!

Here's my opinion on the subject.. As a og lover looking for og in seed form for many years, I've tried a good number of strains and breeders. I've found some nice plants but all have been a variation of real og.I was thinking the same thing, but if kgp says it's a perfect example thus far of OG in bean so far, that's quite a feat I'd say.
I think that number does turn me off as well, only because missing one nanner would make me very unhappy
I like your hypothesis. Gotta take the good with the undesired. Here's my opinion on the subject.. As a og lover looking for og in seed form for many years, I've tried a good number of strains and breeders. I've found some nice plants but all have been a variation of real og.
One thing I've noticed is the more og the plant is (genetics wise) the more potential a plant has to hermie. Another thing I've noticed and might be some reasoning for finding a couple ball sacks early in flower is that og kush has a potential to intersex with small amount of stress that other plants can handle no problem. Why do you think there are so many s1's. It's in the genetics. Serve's male is a hot topic of conversation and many blame him but his fem line has the same issues. I've ran gear from several other legit, respected breeders that intersex early in flower. Serve is a douche and probably a good reason to hate him. Notice many breeders will use og but breed it to something more stable and sensitive.
Think about it, taking this plant from 24 hours light, which in nature is odd. Immediately to 12/12. I'm not a botanist by any means but I would think that would be stressful.
Enough rambling, my point being many stay away from pure og for this reason. It's in he gentics. Though proven clones don't show this trait, many of the off spring do.
When growing genetics like this I expect, and anticipate balls, full on hermie is bad, but a sack or two can be plucked off and never grow back. You just have to make sure to look and find them early enough. Which I failed at this run. But this smoke is for me, not entering a cup, if I pick out a couple seeds, I've delt with much worse things in life...
To score a super special plant is an exception, not the norm. It sure pays off when patience and diligence finally comes through.
Again, just my observations.
