Forcing root's from branch 5 wks into flower

I read on some site where you could take a branch from a 5 wk old plant that's been under 12/12 lighting, and place it in a glass of water and it will grow root's. Has anyone tried this ? I've cloned from some stems that were 2 wk's into the flower cycle, but never from as far along as 5 or 6. Any comments or advice will be appreciated. :?

My understanding is that it would be very difficult on account of the hormonal changes in the plant when it goes 12/12. I've read that it can take weeks to get a plant back to veg state so the chances of getting something to root would be poor.

A friend of mine was watching my plants while i was on vacation and killed all my moms, My ladies were in their 7th week of flowering and I took cuttings from them. Took about a month and a have to fully revert back and start growing in veg again. But yes it can be done

yes it can be done but y bother??? like unless u loved how it grew... a plant in flowering is ezer to root as it contains less nitrogen.. yes it will take a mnth to reveg... with that being said, search for monster cropping on here... theres a great thread on it that i saw today.. its about reveging flowered plants for more yeild

Thanks anonymouse, I had a long wait for my other clones to grow root's as I mentioned, and the plant's that I am flowering now were from that attempt. Yes it did take a long time for them to revert but , I think it reduced the overall waiting period from veg to flower in the long run. good lookin out thou.

Five weeks is longer than you'd want (ideally) for Monster Cropping, but it works! It will just take a while. Doing the same thing with a Cheese that's so far budded that everyday I think, "I should take that bud out of that pot and smoke it" but no mother or other clones, so what do you do?
