forcing plant back into veg question

So as of late been pulling a few males from my garden average size of my plants are 2ft in veg it's a bit frustrating after doing lst and what not

so a buddy told me when they reach 8 to 12 inches throw them under 12/12 till they show sex then pull the males and put the females back in veg tent under 24/7 light to force them to veg

so my biggest concern here will be stress on the plants will it hermie them or am a good to go with this ?

Just take a cut and clone it in 12/12. You'll find out the sex soon enough.

Reveging will create a load more branches (they tend to be thinner at first) and I would say will take you longer than just taking a snip and cloning but in 12/12.

Re veg adds 3 weeks of weird oddball growth until plant turns around..

Probably best to work on your cloning skills. Its not hard once you get it, just control the environment and start clean. Once you get it sorted it is really easy. I have a 100% success ratio myself I start with clean gear , us peat pucks and clean water. Cut dip spritz and leave them alone for 13 days, I don't even check them. Then bam well cloned plants

Suppers. Yeah that is sad. At some point it's not gonna be fun anymore and you'll figure out clones. Practice on house plants, plants you pass by etc. I will clone anything I see, if it can be that is.

It doesn't have to live. Number your plants. so if you have five plants it would be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Take five solo cups and do the same. Top the plants and put the tops in corresponding cup with water. Put the tops under a cfl on 12/12. they will live long enough to show sex.

Take a good 4-6 inch cut. Toss it in a cup of water. 12/12 that.
Those cheap plastic test tube shotglasses from party city work well cause you can fit loads of cuttings in a small space + label the tubes.

Also build a bubble cloner. There's tutorials in the DIY section and it's 20 - 30 bucks and a trip to Wal-Mart.

The only problem with the cup method, is it takes forever. I used the little green deals you put on the end of roses. It does work(sometimes), but the cut is still going to take a couple weeks to root, and then they just seem weak to really show you anything because the cut isn't growing. In the long run it's a pain in the ass. Once you get your cloning down you'll be golden. What's your issue with the clones you take?

environment at the moment i need humidity i live in a dry climate here in the middle of alaska and they seem to die. also i grow in soil .i think i just need to break down and buy or make a setup after vacation. gonna be in vegas for a week maybe find something there and ship it back

Have you heard the term 'humidity dome' ?

yes i have i know what a humidity dome is the had one and 4 sets of clones died one me
