forced seedling to flowering stage

Hi I have one question. Tell me what you think about that text below.

"A plant will flower based solely on how much light you give it per day.
Even just rooted cutting or a SEEDLING THAT HAS ONLY RECENTLY
EMERGED FROM THE SOIL CAN BE FORCED TO FLOWER under
12 hours of light per day"

So, true or false? Can you force few day old seedling to flower?

Ya theres people who do 12/12 from seed all the time.

I ask this cause that text is from High Times Magazine/Dear Danko and I think its untrue. If you grow 12/12 from seed it doesnt start flowerin before its mature enough and that is about 4 weeks, right? I send Email to Danko but he doesnt reply. If you put just rooted cutting and fresh seedling to flowering stage cutting start flowering pretty soon but seedling grows first at least 3-4 weeks before entering to floweing stage. This is my opinion

It will vary by strain. The more indica the faster it will flower. A pure sativa will take longer and still have the possibility of getting large under 12/12.

The plant's second growth phase is in the beginning of flower. The first few weeks of flower are filled with massive vegetative growth. Sativas have more growth during flower stretch than indicas, hence why you flip them sooner...

12/12 from seed is possible, and can be advantageous.

Please read my second post. I ask that cause I think you cant force few days old seedling to flower it must be mature enought to flower.

It will flower when mature enough, but will still vegetate under 12/12 with no issue. They usually don't start showing sex till about 3-4wks in...

We have had multiple competitions here on this website where people grow from seed, 12/12 the whole way, in a 16oz party cup. You can check em out if you'd like, lots of pics and info...

You are correct, and Danko is as usual blabbing... It's not that they need a certain amount of days or weeks first, that is chronological age. The plant needs to reach a certain physiological age first, which is heavily influenced by growing conditions, and reach a certain ontogenctical age to go through it's stages (seed, seedling, immature, reproductive etc). What we simplify to seedling, veg, transition and flower etc. A plant needs to mature first in more ways than just chronical age, which differs per strain, i.e. Is large limited by its genetics. The word "force" is already a misnomer. "Fool" or "trigger" would be better and when merely a seedling it won't let itself be fooled or triggered to flower.

I try one more time, I dont know is it my not 100% english or what but
Danko fom HT magazine write:
"a SEEDLING THAT HAS ONLY RECENTLY
EMERGED FROM THE SOIL CAN BE FORCED TO FLOWER under
12 hours of light per day" and I disagree. I wait now that somebody says that "yes, seedling start flowering straight from seed" or " yes, Danko is wrong. You cant force seedling to flower before its mature enought to flower in the first Place" If seedling start flowering straight from the seed then plant with 100% stretch end up about 4 inches when ready, but it probably grows first 8-12 inches before starts flowering, if star under 12/12, right? so I disagree with Danko
