Forced hermie breeding?

I have a super extra lanky sativa plant that ended up only 6 inches from my light(right side). (Max flowering being 18 inches) it was pretty stressed I’d say. Since my little 2x2 is compromised now from the plant on the right being a herm would any seeds from my other girl next to her be any good since it in theory would be less likely to herm? Any help would be appreciated:) was pretty bummed to see she hermed. Also both plants are bag seed.

Yes I’ve heard about the stress testing and it makes sense. I suppose I’ll just take my losses and give the seeds back to nature:( would it be impossible to cross a plant that is male with the offspring of this run and stabilize it? I bet that would take a long time and many generations of different male plants but I have big dreams.

Also @ mud balls sadly I really have not a clue what the taller plant is in regards to genetics. I can say that the plant on the left is a sour sorbet I was given by a buddy and I’m unsure of a breeder name. I’m sure working with something that you know what is would be really helpful. But I’m kinda sorta forced to breed at this point lol

passing a stress induced hermie trait...no bueno...we kill hermies that dont pass pressure testing
Wow it's as simple as a pressure test, so how are Herms still growing from stress tested strains when your saying you can eliminate the problem.

Think your talking broshit again.

Very good insight. I’ve heard talk of amazing strains growing as a result of herms not sure the truth to them. How much of a difference would using chemicals to make your plants produce fem seeds compared to the way people did it before that?

Idk the genetic tendency to hermie thats being passed isnt some kind of instant 90% seeds germed will hermie...its just poor breeding ethics do as you wush, i can see this one dipshit coming at me in this thread so me and my ideas are outta here.peace

Hey man I appreciate your info. I’ll likely just toss the seeds in fear or working with bad genetics to begin with. I’m sure a lot of smokers have the same goal of making their own strains.

The seed will be good just don't stress it.

It's ridiculous to say a plant that got stressed and Herms now passed poor genetics.

Do you stress test the other plant now to check if sticking it in the light makes a herm strain too.... No you don't.

Good news man. Im likely ending up with a sativa leaning hybrid since Im mixing a hybrid with a sativa. (Im going off of how long and slender leafs are when I say hybrid and sativa I don’t actually know the genetics for sure)

But don’t all fem seeds technically have a hemi somewhere in the genetics or does that not occur when you use chemicals to make fem seeds instead of the way I’ve accidentally did it?

What's a plants ability to Herm got to do with genetics, they all have it just don't piss them off and they won't show you balls as you found out.

You want strains that are stress tested not to Herm, so would we all but they don't exist and too many with no qualifications talk rubbish in this hobby.
