was being patient and using just RO water and its been maybe 6wks and im not seein sex yet. I've had it in 12-12 hps for 2.5 weeks.

will flower nutes help move things along? i dont really want to use whole regime, but maybe RO and a tsp of FF tiger bloom? its small 8" maybe so it'd only take 1.5 cups of water in its small pot.

roots i dought are bound but it would normally be due for a transplant bout now

THANKS!!!

im sorry to inform you nutin you can do less your name is god
cn bring on flower till plant reches maturity

plant reaches maturity when nodes change from sid by side to alternating nodes
next sex will show right after

12/12 stresses a plant into thinking it is matur early but eiter way stressed into believing or true not gona show till mature no matter whut you do

because you give a baby girl adult food and put seamin into her wont see no baby till matures at about thirteen do you get it yet can i stop here

or is more examples needed

i only want you to get it

Try decreasing your light time by 15-20 minutes a day for a week. Gradually shorten your day to where you have 9 hours of light only. Many strains do respond to that change.

Dwezel was spot on, if you where using a clone from a mature plant which is considered after 3-4 weeks of vegetation (not seedling growth) then you'd be able to see the sex begin to show after about 2 weeks of 12/12. But since your trying to flower a seedling from 12/12 you can run into a couple issues, for starters its not mature enough (like the infant example above) the parts of the plant need to develop first before it starts making buds, so right now your most likely depriving the little seedling of its full day light (atleast 18 hrs) so its probably stunting the growth. Rushing the seedling to make buds is ultimately going to take you longer in the long run.

Wow ask and tho shall recieve lol great answers guys it clears things up a lot. so a continuance question, it hasnt alternaded nodes yet. so i have the hps at 12-12 and a mh and t5 running 24, shur i move the plant from hps and if so to which light intensity? thanks again

To determine sex when we switch to 12/12 (after proper vegetation) does HPS light has to be used absolutely OR MH or even 200w CFL 6500°K could be used instead?
So basically my question comes down to: is it only question of light cycle and/or °K or both?

Thanks

seeing as nutin gona happen till mature id leave it under longer light on
id use 20/4 or 18/6 24 hour no rest for plant no dark cyclenot as good
id do seedlings at 24 hour but start vega wit a rest period

Intensity, the type of light, and light cycle are all factors to what stage you want your plant in. For vegging really all you need is light cycle (24/0 or 18/6), many including myself believe that even during veg you should have periods of darkness. Ive done the experiment and they grow at the same rate very small difference in growth but you save some money on energy. But an MH/CFL are more well rounded as far as light spectrum so this will promote foliage growth which is what you want for vegging.
In flowering its possible to use any of the lights as well but they WILL have an effect on your overall product,
HPS is the most common one it has the correct light spectrum red/orange which is dominant in the fall season, with the correct wattage and of course genetics this light will make tight dense buds generally
MH is the next but like I said above this spectrum promotes more leaf growth than flower, so you can expect still a good crop but the structure of the buds will be a little more "airy, fluffy"
Now I don't want to touch CFL too much (these growers are very touchy) Ive done one grow with them and they came out very similar to the MH very fluffy, took longer to flower, and longer for growth cause by the low intensity but these bulbs will save you energy, heat, and overall money they're great for vegging but don't expect to win the cannabis cup =)

good luck, Peace
