force feeding a plant?

One of my buddies is in veg and his plant consumed all the nutient solution in his res. He said he woke up and it was dry. I thought wow this plant is for sure going to burn up, told him to give it straight ph'd water for a few days. Then I thought well this might not be a bad idea for the last 2 weeks before flushing in flowering. If they drink the water they have to drink the nutes. Let the slamming begin. lol

the only problems i am not sure about is would the plant empty itself back into the res when u went to flush. or if it didn't could it possibly use it all before its time to chop , may have to flush longer to use it all up. But it is nutes that generally get dumped.

after having plain ph'd water in it for 16 hours it only dumped 200 ppm back into the res. may have to do a little longer flush but i think this would work

I have a plant a week from finishing i'll try it and figure it out.
